Ladies and gentleman,

It’s my honor to deliver a farewell address on behalf of all the exchange students.

Words failed to convey our sincere gratitude to you.Not only have we been taken good care

of in life but we have been given meticulour concern in learning. Friendly students were always

providing us with various supports, which allowed us to adapt to the life here easily and have a

better comprehension of different cultures. Learned teachers are devoted and responsible, helping

us gain much knowledge and broaden our horizons.

It is the experience that has benefited us a lot. So unforgettable is it that we’ll keep it in our

memory forever.

After about two weeks,Edie came home, looking so discouraged. Edie sat beside the bed with

her head down, tears welling up in her eyes. Mother hurried to ask what was wrong with her.

“They ignored and made fun of me and even threaten to hit me. I’m so scared.”Edie sobbed.

Hearing that, mother had a mixed feeling. However, she still encouraged his daughter to stick to

kindness to them as she firmly believed Edie’s kindness could move their heart. Nodding with

doubt, Edie was in deep thought. Abruptly, her eyes lit up and it seemed as if she had a good idea.

Two months later,Edie’s mother surprisedly found her daughter sit at a table with these girls

in the classroom. To her relief, they were sharing the books together, chatting merrily. Edie's

teacher told her what happened. Two months before, Edie had asked the teacher if she could sit at

their table with them. She had noticed they were disruptive because they didn’t understand the

lessons. Edie became their tutor. Because of Edie’s kindness, those girls have completely turned

around and been productive members of the class.Without experiencing kindness, it becomes

impossible to express kindness toward others.What a difference it will make if everyone who has

received kindness is kind to others, especially the unlovely.
