New Zealand is well known for education. The following are some of its
universities:
University of Auckland
With 30,000 full-time students, and 10,000 distant learners, it is the largest
university in New Zealand. Established in 1883, it is also one of the oldest ones.
It is ranked number one in the country, and among the top 236 universities worldwide. It
consists of 7 campuses altogether that spread across Auckland. Each campus offers specific
courses in different areas of study.
University of Otago
Established in 1869 in Otago, the university continues to offer the best
educational practices, as a part of its 150-year-old legacy. With the longest
history in New Zealand, it ranks among the top two universities of New Zealand, and
among the top 309 universities in the world. Although the University's main camous
is in Dunedin, it also has another four campuses in other cities. The the university,

University of Canterbury
Che reason to join Canterbury University is the fact that it is ranked as the
third best university of New Zealand, and among the top 450 universities in the
world. Founded in 1893, the university consists of mainly five colleges or
departments. The university offers more than 100 qualifications from undergraduate
to doctoral levels in around 80 different subject areas.
Massey University
It is situated in Palmerston North, but its campuses are spread across Auckland,
Albany, Manawatu and Wellington. Established in 1927, it ranks among the top four
universities of New Zealand, and top 531 universities in the world. The university
is a heaven for international students as more than 3,000 students from around 100
countries study here. It also offers distant education programs through which around
13,000 students from all over the world have joined the institution.
