One possible version:
Recently, a survey, which is about students’ housework engagement, has been carried out in
my class.
According to the survey, a large proportion of the students (70%) do the housework, among
whom 5% work over an hour per week and 65% for less than an hour. Much to my surprise, 30%
of them never share housework with their parents.
Some students think doing housework waste their time, which otherwise can be engaged in
studying. As far as I’m concerned, however, it’s really necessary to raise students’ labor
consciousness and involve them in housework. After all, by helping with the housework, they can
develop a sense of responsibility and gain important life skills.

One possible version:
Paragraph 1: During lunchtime, he gathered his friends and asked them to form a circle.
Standing in the middle, Martin announced, “Friends, you are about to see my magic chair here.
Watch closely.” Slowly, Martin tried sitting on the chair. But he missed and fell straight onto his
backside. Everyone around him burst into laughter. He made another attempt to sit and fell again.
This time, there comes a few catcalls. Martin did not give up. He kept trying and fell to the
ground.
The laughs continued. Squeezing out a bitter smile, he tried again and did not fall this time. He
finally experienced the magic.
Paragraph 2: Now he could find out who were his real friends. Looking around, Martin saw
four of his friends, John, Abram, Juli, and Terry carrying him up, so he didn’t fall. At the same
time, many others he had thought of as friends were doing nothing but make fun of him, enjoying
each and every fall. Martin returned home and narrated the day’s story to his father. Father was
happy that he could find his real friends. The next day he bought a new cycle for Martin. Martin
realized it was not about the quantity of friends but the quality that mattered.

•内容或逻辑上有一些重大问题,续写不够完整,与原文情境有一定程度脱节；
•所使用的词汇有限，语法结构单调,错误较多,且比较低级,影响理解；
•未能有效地使用语句间衔接手段,全文结构不够清晰，意义不够连贯。

•内容或逻辑上有较多重大问题,或有部分内容抄自原文，续写不完整，与原文情境基本脱
节。
•所使用的词汇有限，语法结构单调,错误很多，严重影响理解；
•几乎没有使用语句间衔接手段，全文结构不清晰，意义不连贯。

•所写内容太少或无法看清以致无法评；
•所写内容全部抄自原文或与题目要求完全不相关；
•未作答。

new club — we have about 50 members at the moment, but we’re growing all the time.
W: That sounds interesting. I'm British actually, and I came to Washington about three months
ago. I’m looking for ways to meet people. Er, what kinds of events do you organize?
M: Well, we have social get-togethers, and sports events, and we also have language evenings.
W: Could you tell me something about the language evenings?
M: Yes. Every day except Thursday we have a language evening. People can come and practice
their languages, you know, over a drink or something. We have different languages on
different evenings. Monday — Spanish; Tuesday — Italian; Wednesday — German; and
Friday — French. On Thursday, we usually have a meal in a restaurant for anyone who wants
to come.
W: Well, that sounds great. I really need to practice my French.
M: OK, well, if you can just give me your name and address, I’ll send you the form and some
more information. If you join now, you can have the first month free.
