写 作:
第一节:
Dear John,
Since you are interested in the policy that we were recommended to stay where we were during the Spring
Festival, I am writing to tell you something specific about the situation.
To strengthen COVID-19 Pandemic prevention and control nationwide, my city called on people to stay
where they were to celebrate the Spring Festival. An effective operation was launched to guarantee the
workers’ welfare. Companies were encouraged to issue red envelops and organize cultural activities to add to
the festive atmosphere. To motivate the employees to stay, companies raised salaries and ensured other
benefits.
I think the policy is very practical and praiseworthy. Not only could we enjoy ourselves and send best
wishes to family and relatives by Wechat, but we also contributed to a strong recovery from the pandemic.
Yours,
Li Hua
第二节:
My father said firmly, “If he doesn’t bite me when I try to pick him up to put him in the car, then we have a
new dog.” The dog happily joined us with no fight at all, the only thing we were in danger of was getting
licked. He kept sticking his head between the two front seats and thanked us for picking him up. The dog had
clearly been on the road for some time, he was really too thin. So we fed him a lot over the course of the next
two weeks striving to look after him with the hope that he would get stronger. Unfortunately, all our efforts
were in vain. He was still very thin.
We took him to the vet, who said the dog appeared to be in good health. The vet guessed the dog was about
two years old. He gave the dog all the required shots and sent us on our way. “Amazing! The dog is healthy.”
My mother said in an excited voice. So thrilled were we that we headed home immediately. We did love our
new family member. The dog was a sweet companion to our family, who was a quick learner and knew how to
respond to different instructions. We learned a lesson from the experience that kindness and sympathy made a
big difference to our life.

听力原文:
Text 1
M: Your new apartment is not as convenient as the old one.
W: Exactly, but it’s far more comfortable and above all, it’s far away from the noisy surroundings.
Text 2
W: Jack, have you seen my mobile? I’m sure I left it on the table.
M: You did. I picked it up and put it in your bag — the one hanging on the back of the chair. Have you looked?
W: No I haven’t. Yes, it’s still here. Thanks.
Text 3
M: Have you heard from James? He must have arrived in Australia by now! He promised to send me a
postcard.
W: He gave me a quick call yesterday. Didn’t you get my email?
M: No. I haven’t been at work for a few days.
Text 4
W: Honey, could you take Frank to the vet tomorrow? He should get there at 11:00 in the morning.
M: Weren’t you told to bring him there around 10:00 am?
W: Mr. Brown called me later yesterday and changed the time.
Text 5
M: I need to get some social work experience. Can you help?
W: Sure. There’s a teenager centre. They’re looking for someone to teach table tennis on Thursday. Then
there’s the day centre for pre-school kids. They need a helper on Wednesday. Or there’s a school for the
disabled. They need someone on weekends.
M: Well, the best time for me is Wednesday.
Text 6
W: David, what’s your plan for the summer vacation?
M: I’m planning to go to Namibia and join a volunteer program there. There is a volunteer program that I
show great interest in.
W: What does the program involve?
M: It mainly involves taking care of wildlife in Namibia.
W: What are the requirements of the program?
M: In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date. You need
to speak English. Volunteers should also come with at least a moderate level of fitness.
Text 7
M: Jane, could you review the results of the survey on sporting activities again? I’m planning out our proposal
for today’s business meeting. I think we should consider expanding our line of athletic shoes. Maybe we
should consider developing a new market — targeting sports clothes or equipment.
W: Sure, Sam. I’ve summarized the results, broken down by consumer age groups and sporting activities. The
survey was carried out among people between the ages of 18 and 55, and the results have been organized in
terms of the following age groups: 18-to-26, 27-to-35, 36-to-45, and 46-to-55.
M: Okay.
W: People in the last two groups reported jogging as their favorite sport followed by skiing, tennis,
swimming, and cycling.

W: Dr Twain. I’m considering taking your course in Tourism. Would you mind giving me some advice?
M: Absolutely not.
W: Well, I have been discussing it with my parents and they are concerned that I will not be able to get a
well-paid job with a degree in Tourism. But I think it’s a great career in the future.
M: I agree with you. A large part of this course is dedicated to teaching students how to manage finances.
I would also recommend that you take a course in time-management or note-taking, as these can be useful in
planning your workload.
W: I’ll remember that.
M: Now, are you interested in any of the other subjects?
W: Yes, I’m interested in Travel and Business.
M: That is really worth learning; however, be aware that it is challenging. What about Medical Care? It’s tiring
but useful.
W: I’m not sure that I would enjoy that course. How about Public Relations?
M: Yes, I would recommend that course. It would be related to entering the tourism industry.
W: OK. I’ll take it. Thank you!
Text 9
W: Nick, we’ve got to decide on the best ways this university can do to reduce its waste. Did you do all the
interviews as well?
M: Yes, I interviewed all the staff, who made some good observations, and I interviewed some of the students.
The students said little that was interesting. It was the cleaners, surprisingly, who revealed most relevant
facts.
W: What items were most commonly disposed of?
M: In the cafeteria, obviously paper cups were thrown away all over the place. However, across the university
in general, it was paper copying that filled up most bins, far more than plastic, or other forms of waste.
W: Did people care about this?
M: I have interviewed about 30% of customers in the cafeteria, and the results were mixed. Out of all the
people I interviewed, about 55% of them, told me that they had little concern. The rest, 45%, were more
troubled.
W: I think we should paint a poster to be put somewhere where lots of people will see it.
M: How about holding an exhibition or giving some lectures? I’m sure most people like to work towards
helping our environment.
Text 10
Next month, students from the fashion department at Oak College will be holding an exciting event. They
are putting on a fashion show on Saturday 25th June. The show will be held in the new drama studio.
Students themselves will be modeling the clothes, which have been given to them by various well-known stores
in the area. 70% clothes are from high street stores. Some are from designer stores and only a part are from
personal studios. The show starts at 11:30 am and begins with a presentation of men’s fashion, which will
include sportswear. There will be a short break for lunch at 1 pm in the canteen, the cost of which is included in
the price of the ticket. The show will continue at 2 pm with women’s fashion, which will include both winter
and summer wear. The show will end at 3 pm with a presentation of the students’ own designs. It’ll be a fun
day out! You can buy tickets for the show on the college website, or over the phone. But I recommend you to
get them at the college bookshop, because the price includes a drink. The bookshop is next to the
admissions office. Full details of prices are available on the college website.
