I’m Li Hua. On behalf of would-be Senior 3 students, I feel honored to give a speech about how

to handle the pressure we are now facing from my perspective.

To begin with, physical health and a good state of mind is the foundation on which we conquer

all the difficulties. As the old saying goes,“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” Only by

striking a balance between study and rest, can we ensure learning efficiency. What’s more, pouring

to our parents or teachers when necessary is also an alternative to get practical guidance and timely

comfort. When it comes to our future choices, it’s highly recommended that we combine our

personal preference with professional suggestion.

all the neighbors, which gave him a feeling of warmth and made him feel that they were at home at

M: You’re right. For me, that’s the attraction of the stories — they’ve got such a wide range of

settings. You never get bored.

W: I don’t know. There have been a couple I couldn’t get into.

field! But, why are some people so much better at finding their way than others? Are they born

with that skill?

W: Not necessarily. Scientists say people who have a good sense of direction probably pay more

attention to what’s around them. They notice more details. A lot of people don’t pay attention at

all. If you’re thinking about something else while you’re walking, of course you’re more likely

to get lost.

M: Hmm. I guess we do use things we see to help us find places. I remember there was a tree at the

corner of a street where my friend lived. One day, the tree was gone, and I couldn’t find the

street. I was completely lost! I was using the tree as a visual clue, even though I didn’t know it.

W: Yes, I’ve experienced something similar to that. Well, one day …

M: Hello everyone. My name is Alan. On behalf of Medi Travel I’d like to welcome you all to Ibiza,

where fun is as certain as death and taxes. I am pretty sure you are going to enjoy your stay here

in Ibiza. This is a beautiful, exciting city where you can relax and sit by the beach or enjoy some

of the best clubs in Europe. You can walk into town and enjoy the local shops and restaurants or

take a moonlit walk along the water if you prefer some peace and quiet. We’re going to be

pulling up to the Marina Hotel in just a few minutes. Please sit back and enjoy the view of the

ocean on the right hand side of the bus as we go over the bridge. I kindly ask that you remain in

your seats and do not eat or drink on the bus. Manuel will be meeting us at the entrance to give
