Just like humans, pets can suffer from some health problems as they age. As your furry friends get older, it’s
important to look out for these four changes in your pets, because solving them early may greatly improve their
well-being, lifespan and quality of life.
Obvious Weight Changes
If your pets either lose or gain weight quickly in a short time, it’s time to go to see the vet. Obvious weight
changes can show problems such as heart disease, liver disease, which are sometimes related to aging.
Signs of Chronic(慢性的)Pain
Chronic pain can exist in pets in many different ways, such as repeated biting, or little interest in moving or
jumping. If your furry friends are struggling to move, or are slower when getting up and down, it’s time to arrange
a trip to the vet.
Changes in Appetite(胃口)
Several health problems in pets can appear in a change of appetite, whether it’s a decrease or increase in
hunger. Changes in appetite might be due to dental problems, gastrointestinal problems or more severe conditions
like cancer.
Changes in Behavior
As pets age, they can experience similar problems to humans, such as changes in vision, hearing and general
confusion. Some pets can even experience dementia (痴呆). Although there is no cure, management is possible
