Unit3 How do you get to school?
Section A ：
1．It takes sb. some time to do sth. 花费某人某些时间去做某事
It took the people a lot of time to get to the mountain. 人们花了很多时间才到了那座
大山。
It takes me twenty minutes to get to school on foot every morning.　　每天早晨我步行
到学校要花费二十分钟。
　　 take 词义
1) v. 取走，拿走
Please take this book to your school.请把这本书带去学校。
2) v. 照像，拍照
They took a lot of photos in the mountain.他们在山里拍了很多照片。
3) 乘，坐，搭（车、船）
I usually take a bus to work.我通常坐公交车上班。
4) 持续，花费（时间）

It takes me an hour to go to the museum by subway.坐地铁去博物馆花了我一个小时
的时间。
2．hundred 数词，一百
注意：具体数目的 hundred 不用加 s
如：七百 seven hundred; 305 名学生: three hundred and five students
但是，如果要表示“成百上千的；数以百计的”这个概念，hundred 要加-s，同时
后面要加上 of
成百上千的学生 hundreds of students
成百上千的游客 hundreds of visitors
3．get to /reach /arrive 辨析：
相同点：都是“到达”的意思
不同点：“到达学校”的不同表达形式
get to school get to+地点
reach school reach+地点

arrive at school arrive at+小地点（车站等）/ arrive in+大地点（国家等）
注意：若他们后面要加 here,there,home 等，则不需加介词 to 或at/in。
4. have to 和must 区别：

①look 与look at 强调看的动作。
Look!They are flying kites./Please look at the picture carefully.
②see 强调看的内容和结果。
---What can you see in the room?
---I can’t see anything because it is too dark.
③watch 意为“观看；欣赏”： “观看”+“展览，球赛等” 。
I like to watch fish swim in the water.
Father is watching a football game.

have to “必须，不得不”，强调客观因素 It's raining,I have to stay at home.(如
果不是下雨我就可能出去玩了，
因为雨被迫待在家里)
must “必须”，强调主观 English is very important,so we must
study English hard.(强调主观上努
力)
