Hans was the manager of a food company in the United States. In the beginning,

Passage 2
One day a young man named Gary went to see a wise old man. He wanted to know
why he wasn’t able to 1 all of his life goals.
He found the old man reading in a small house by the river. With a smile, the wise
man listened to Gary’s 2 and told him, “First come help me boil a kettle

Gary saw a big kettle standing in the corner next to a small stove (火炉), but he

Passage 3
“Class, this is John Evans,” Mrs Parmele 1 loudly. We saw a boy in
