形容词比较级

1. 表示两者(人或事物)的比较时，形容词要用比较级形式，形容词比较级后要用引出比较对象。

2. 形容词比较级构成的规则变化

A. 单音节词和少数双音节词，一般在词尾加-er。如：

cold– colder

B. 以字母 e结尾的形容词，加-r。如：

nice — nicer

C. 重读闭音节词末尾只有一个辅音字母时，先双写这个辅音字

母，再加-er。如：

big – bigger thin – thinner

D. 以“辅音字母+ y”结尾的双音节词，先改 y为i，再加-er。如：

easy – easier happy – happier

3. 句子结构一般是：A be + adj.-er than B.

Be + A+adj.-er than B? 如：

Li is taller than Wang. 李比王高。

This pen is longer than that one. 这支钢笔比那只长。

Is Shanghai a newer city than Hong Kong? 上海是个比香港新的城市吗？
