Broadcast journalism and communications programs generally offer radio broadcast training. Many schools
also offer real-world experiences on and off campus. The following are the top radio-broadcasting schools across
the US.
University of Central Florida
The University of Central Florida’ s Steven Sotloff Memorial Endowed Fund provides journalism students
with a scholarship. Students learn to practice radio broadcasting by managing the campus radio station, WNSC-FM.
The program features a $14,000,000 communications building equipped with digital technology. The school was
ranked16th by U. S. News & World Report for 2019.
USC in Los Angeles
The USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism has the bachelor’s and master’s degree
programs in broadcast journalism. This emphasis features courses in radio news writing. Students gain broadcast
experience by working at the campus radio station, KCSR. Admission to the school is highly competitive. It was
titled for 22nd among national universities by U. S. News & World Report rankings in 2020.
California State University, Fullerton
California State University’ s Internet radio station, Titan Radio, reaches audiences worldwide. Here,
undergraduate students interested in radio broadcasting can do a B. A. in communications with concentration on
journalism and tourism communications. Students can also get real-world radio training by working at Titan Radio.
The school was ranked 17th among western regional schools by U. S. News & World Report for 2020.
New York Film Academy’s Broadcast Journalism School
Like all of the New York Film Academy’s programs, the school has its own radio station and the curriculum
combines academic learning with practical, hands-on training. NYFA emphasizes a professional mix of skills and
instills an appreciation of the ethical（道德的） concerns that differentiate journalism from other professions. The
school was ranked 19th by U. S. News & World Report for 2020.

Acting is all about charm, respect, honor, and all that fame stuff, right? Wrong. Maybe when you’re a big star
you’ll get all of that, but it’s a different story for the rest of us. As a normal and unknown actor, here’ s a typical
day on a film set.
Yesterday my alarm clock went off at 5:20 AM. I had a call time of 7:00 AM and the filming place was far. I
gave myself time for a shower and an hour’s drive to the set, plus an extra 10 minutes for safety. LA morning
traffic was slow as usual, but I managed to get there on time.
The director and crew were already there, setting up the scene. Then I talked with the director and found out
that he’ d changed the lines that I had stayed up until 1:00 AM memorizing the night before. We rehearsed（排
练） the scene several times, and then they excused me from it while the crew continued setting up the lights.
Normally I’d stay and hang out, but I needed to memorize the new lines so I went to my truck. About twenty
minutes later, a production assistant knocked on my door.
We got to set and I stepped up to my position. “Roll Camera!” ... “Action!” I started to say my lines... “Cut!”
After a few more takes, it was time to move on.
