calendar is for you!
We love sharing the best events with our readers, and every day Discover the Burgh receives thousands of
visitors looking for the best things to see, do, eat, and experience in the region. In 2023, we launched an event
calendar to feature the best events going on in the city to help promote experiences beyond those that we have
personally reviewed since founding this site.
Here come requirements and pricing for hosting an event on our calendar below.
Requirements
Events must fall into the type of "things to do in Pittsburgh".
Our calendar is designed to get readers to your event page over listing every pertinent (相关的) event detail.
Information that is shared should include event name, dates, location and a photo.
All events must take place within about 90 minutes of downtown Pittsburgh by car.
Submit (提交) an Event
It's recommended to submit events at least 30 days before the start date to increase views. Events submitted
with less than 72 hours before the start time may be declined.
Get in touch about submitting an event on Discover the Burgh's event calendar by sending an email to
dtbcalender@sina.com.
Pricing
To cover our time and marketing, we charge shares of an event on Discover the Burgh's social media channels.
Our pricing is as follows:
One Event: $50 per listing
Three or more Events: 20% off per listing

Cesare Mencarini recently graduated from high school in England with excellent grades. But he was probably
more excited about the success he had the previous year—building a working nuclear fusion reactor ( 核聚变反应
堆) at the age of 16.
Fusion energy is created when hydrogen atoms "fuse" ( 融合) together. Many people see fusion energy as the
perfect energy for the future. The fuel (燃料) needed for fusion reactions is cheap, and there's plenty of it. Fusion
could easily provide energy with very little pollution.
As a child, Cesare became interested in electronics, and learned to program computers. When he was in high
school, after seeing a video about someone building a fusion reactor, Cesare decided he wanted to build one, too.
Initially, the school wasn't so excited about the idea. But Cesare worked to persuade his teachers. Finally, after a
complete safety review, and with an extra advisor offering to help out, the school agreed.
Cesare was a strong student, but what troubled him most was that his regular classes weren't teaching him how
to build a fusion reactor. To learn this, he spent countless hours doing research, looking up information on the
Internet, and watching videos. He also joined a website where he got advice from scientists with more experience.
