they’re all free!
Tours for All
Group Tours
Group tours are available by request for adult groups of eight or more. Choose from a variety of themes,
including current special exhibitions. Request 3 to 4 weeks in advance.
Walk-in Tours
Walk-in tours are sometimes available. Check with the Information Desk when you arrive. If a walk-in
tour is scheduled for that day:
SAAM walk-in tours last from 12:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m. every day of the
week and also from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.
Renwick walk-in tours start at 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every day except Sunday. No tours on Sundays.
Self-guided Tours
Self-guided tours using your smartphone are available throughout SAAM. Scan the QR codes to bring lots
of information to your fingertips!
Access Programs
Free tours are available online and in our galleries at SAAM or the Renwick Gallery:
– in American Sign Language (ASL);
– for people with low vision;
– for people with mobility difficulties;
– for people with mental disorders and their care partners.
There is no minimum group size for Access tours.
School Tours
We welcome learners of all abilities and from all settings. School tours at SAAM and the Renwick Gallery
are:
– for kindergarten through college;
– in line with national curriculum standards;
– interactive and interdisciplinary.
School tours last 60 minutes. Want more time in the galleries? Ask about additional activities.
Request 4 to 6 weeks in advance.
Virtual Programs
We offer online tours:
– available by request;
– 45 to 60 minutes long;
– focus on a variety of themes, including highlights and special exhibitions;
– interactive and conversational.

“AI police” have significantly enhanced the efficiency and effectiveness of public security operations in
detecting, preventing and solving crimes in Kunshan city, Jiangsu province. In many cases, the Kunshan Public
Security Bureau’s “Kunpeng Team” or “AI Team” has played a crucial role.
With a decade’s accumulated data and over 220 algorithm (算法) models, the AI police can smartly assist
in many aspects. “The added investigative experience has contributed a lot to police operations, allowing even
freshmen officers to function as seasoned detectives,” said Xu Chenbo, an officer from Kunpeng Team.
AI police’s roles are highlighted especially in three aspects: combating telecommunications frauds (诈骗),
tackling counterfeiting (造假) and protecting intellectual property rights.
As for the telecom frauds, Deputy Captain He Yongliang reported that AI police have helped resolve 609
cases, recovering 32.4 million yuan and improving the recovery rate by 62%. In an instance, AI police traced
an illegal fund transfer of 500,000 yuan within 10 minutes after a fraud report of 980,000 yuan. They traced 87
related accounts and identified 57 suspects within 8 hours, leading to the arrest of 9 suspects and recovery of
200,000 yuan for the victim within three days.
Spotting counterfeits were done by image comparison, microscopic inspection and secret markings in the
past. However, due to meaner cheating tricks, traditional methods are no longer guaranteed to differentiate
fakes from the real articles. Zeng Cheng, the head of Kunshan police’s high-quality innovation center, said that
AI’s integrated approaches are very good at reading databases and making comparisons of images at the same
time. “Many customers and manufacturers have seen the benefit of AI-driven anti-counterfeit systems with an
accuracy of 96.4%, ” Zeng noted.
