Amazing China in Sixty Seconds
Heilongjiang
Northeast China’s Heilongjiang is the first province to embrace winter in China each year.
The annual ice and snow period lasts for four to eight months, making it a top tourist destination

culture. Hoh Xil, located in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, is a world heritage site and the highest
plateau in the world. It is home to more than 230 species of wild animals including the
endangered Tibetan antelope.
Other famous scenic spots include the Qinghai Lake, China’s largest inland saltwater lake
and Chaka Salt Lake, known as the “Mirror of the Sky”.
Jiangsu
East China’s Jiangsu province is a rich land with mountains and rivers and is home to
several world heritages sites, including the Classical Gardens of Suzhou, the Ming Xiaoling
Mausoleum in Nanjing and part of the Grand Canal.
Jiangsu is also known for its graceful Chinese-style gardens, water towns, and silk
handicraft that represents the highest achievement in silk weaving in China.
