Protecting our eyes
At present, an increasing number of senior high school students wear glasses and some
even in high degree, which worries us a lot. In my opinion, there are some factors
contributing to it. Firstly, we often use our eyes for too long, which is a decisive factor.
Activities like focusing on a screen, whether that be a computer, television or smartphone,
are tough on our eyes. What’s more, our ways of using eyes are not healthy. For example,
reading in poor light can also harm our eyesight.
However, much can be done to protect our eyes. When reading, we should ensure
proper lighting and take regular breaks, so that our eyes do not need to work too hard.

That left Aamir no choice but to throw the shoe onto the train. But it was not a
powerful pitch, not even close. The shoe brushed past the window frame and fell on the
platform, like a dead leaf. The boy was so moved when he witnessed the whole process.
Seeing Aamir wearing just a worn-out flip-flop, he decided to do something for him.
Meanwhile, Aamir hurriedly took off the other flip-flop, dashing to the shoe and picking it
up, ready to chase after the train again.
But when he raised his head, Aamir saw the other shoe thrown out of the train
window. Before he could react to this, the train had sped up and vanished in the distance,
leaving him rooted to the spot. For a split second, he understood this was a “gift” that the
boy had sent to him. At that time, he knew he’d finally got a pair of pretty shoes of his own.
Also, this experience made him aware that some shoes were not made for walking, but for
spreading love, like this black leather one, which was always shining in his heart.
