[1] The best trip I’ve ever taken should be the Coventry Summer Camp in the US in 2019. We went
through a busy weekly schedule with various activities. We were shown around the campus of
Connecticut State University and watched its famous female basketball match. We were invited to
different families, tasting different American dinners and viewing different family cultures. We even
had a chance to shop in the biggest local supper market.
All those activities were organised and accompanied by volunteers, which was fully out of my
expectation. Since then, I have been more willingly to offer my hands whenever possible.
[2] As a crazy travel lover, I do think travel is helpful and beneficial because it broadens my mind by
enlarging knowledge and enriching experiences.
I can never forget my first trip to Yunnan, which was really an extraordinary experience. What
shocked me most was Longji Rice Terrace – Mountains wrapped in silver water shine in the bright sun
and people are working in harmony with nature, which was different from what I ever thought of fields.
Besides breathtaking natural scenery, I enjoyed tasting delicious food and celebrating unique festivals
with local Zhuang and Yao people, getting inspiration from their life.
With new things I came across, new experience I had, I do gain a deep thinking of life.
[3] Every summer holiday, our family travel to different places.
Last summer, we went to Qufu, the hometown of Confucius, where I saw many historic
collections and learnt about some legendary stories about Confucius. In Dachengdian, the core of the
Confucius temple, the guide told us it is there that people hold an annual memorial ceremony for
Confucius. I really experienced the great power of our cultural inheritance from what I saw and heard
there.
What I learnt from the trip shows that going traveling is like reading a book and the book surely
broadens my mind.
[4] In 2017, I went to Lijiang for a holiday. I was fascinated by the varied landscape there. And what
impressed me most was the performance of the Naxi Orchestra, which took place in an old wooden hall
by Naxi men. The music was so beautiful that the audience, including me, listened as if someone had
