The person who has influenced me most
The person who has influenced me most is Gu Ailing. She won two gold and one silver
medals at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Actually, it is not her achievements but her character and
attitude that have influenced me most. Blessed with optimism and self-confidence, which lay a
solid foundation for her success, she is always ready to face challenges, regardless of any
criticism. What impresses me most is her positive and enterprising spirit and constant striving for
self-improvement that have made her stand out.
After watching the competitions, I was deeply influenced by her sportsmanship. Words are
too plain to express my admiration for her. She has aroused my inner strength to strive for a
promising future. Naturally, because of her, I have changed into a confident and strong man.

范文 1：
I started to pedal and the bicycle moved. Sweat welling on my forehead, I tried my utmost to
keep the balance by controlling the handle. Sort of afraid as I was, I made myself calm down
because I knew my dad would keep protecting me. What I needed to do was holding the bars and
keeping pedaling. With it moving, I felt it wasn’t as difficult as I had expected and even began to
speed up. So delighted was I that I wanted to yell out and share my feelings with my dad.
I turned around and found my dad was not behind. A great sense of shock and scare seized
me and my mind suddenly went blank. My body began shaking and I fell off the bicycle. Lying on
the ground, I felt great pains on my legs. Then Dad approached and said, “Be manly.” Regaining
my courage, I climbed onto the bicycle again. I held the bars tightly and made efforts to balance
my body. My father commented I was one of the quickest learners he had ever seen. But he didn’t
realize it was the strong sense of security and trust from him that played the best part.
范文 2：
I started to pedal and the bicycle moved. “Look straight forward and keep hold of the handle
tightly!” My dad emphasized. With palms sweating and legs trembling, I made every effort to
keep the balance and the bike was winding forward slowly. Deeply convinced that my dad was
holding my back seat, I was much in relief and wobbled off down the road. All of a sudden, I
stumbled on the uneven ground and fell flat on my face. A sharp pain swept across my whole body
and I couldn’t help bursting into tears.
I turned around and found my dad was not behind. In a fit of anger, I blurted out, “Dad, you
promised to hold my back seat, why did you let it go?” My dad ran up to me, carefully checked
my situation and comforted, “Dear, actually you have pedaled for about 50 yards, by yourself!”
Rooted to the spot, I almost couldn’t believe my ears. “Everything is difficult in the beginning. Try
again?” Inspired by his words, I gathered my courage and had a second try, finally realizing what
being a man was all about.
