Full job description:
Under the direct guidance of a licensed teacher, the instructional assistant will deal with
students during break time, in the classroom and perform other duties as assigned. Possible
assignments could include one-on-one student assistance, special education classroom or general
education classrooms for students from Kindergarten to 12th grade. Duties are at all schools in the
district and assignments may be different each day.
Special requirements:
1. Must have the ability to work harmoniously with teachers, students, and other staff
2. Must have the ability to take direction appropriately, changing tasks as necessary
3. Must have 72 credit hours of post-high school studies, earned an Associate’s Degree or higher
or passed the WorkKeys test
4. Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality
5. Experience working with school-age students preferred, but not required
6. Bilingual(双语的) in Spanish desired, but not required
When you come to registration you will need to bring the following:
1. Current Passport or Driver License and Social Security Card or Birth Certificate
2. Copy of post-high school transcript( 成绩单） showing 72 credit hours or the Associate’s
Degree or above or copy of the WorkKeys completion certificate
Applicants are required to be fingerprinted and have a criminal record check at their own
expense(presently $12.50).
This position is 5.5 hours per day;181 days per years.
Rate of pay: $20 per hour
