I’d moved to U.S.to live with my uncle,and one year after that, I lost my vision. I had since learned to get
about with a cane, and now I craved getting back to pursue my dream of being a broadcaster.
But my aunt and uncle said it was much too dangerous for me to go out on my own. What if I got hit by a car?
I must stay in the house. I was dogged. I rejected their guesses. I believed I could regain my way if I lost it. I told

A public library was offering a tuition-free course on how to use a computer with screen reading software
designed for blind people. This was an important opportunity for me, My aunt and uncle reluctantly agreed.
I knew that the American singer Ray Charles, who was also blind, got around on his own without a cane. If he
