I’m very delighted to share with you a traditional Chinese delicacy

I’ve learned to make from my parents, dumplings.

As one of the most iconic dishes in Chinese cuisine, dumplings are

shaped like silver ingots （银元宝） , representing wealth. When

making dumplings, you need to wrap the fillings made of minced( 剁碎，

搅碎 ) vegetables, meat or seafood and some spice with thin pieces of

dough. After they are made, you need to put them into boiling water to

get them well cooked.

Making dumplings requires teamwork and patience. It is also

rewarding to spend time working with family members. This online

sharing offers me a chance to understand our Chinese food culture

better.

Hope you can try it yourself and I’m expecting to appreciate

delicacies from your culture.

67. Finally, the three boys finished but they didn’t leave right away. The

boys didn’t leave right away, but waited by the track cheering the girl

on each time she went by. She was the runner in my lane and each time

she ran by me, I could see she was wet and in pain and obviously

exhausted. As she completed each lap her face was a little redder and

her steps were slowing down. But she didn’t quit.

As she approached the finishing line, the girl was barely running.

The audience went wild when she crossed the line. She fell into my arms

and started sobbing. After hugging the three boys, she turned to the

audience and bowed, saying “Thank you all.” Then she hugged me

again and made her way to the awards table. I stood motionless,

astonished and awed. Tears coursed down my face as I watched her

joyfully accept her award for fourth place. At that moment, I

understood why these Olympics were “special”.
