An Unforgettable Memory in My High School

There are many unforgettable memories in my high school, which will remain in my mind

forever. I’d like to share one with you.

I still remember the Charity Sale organized by the Student Union on the afternoon of

December 5. We took our items to school and went to the stalls on the school playground. Each

class had one stall where a wide range of books, school supplies, sports equipment, or whatever

were laid out. The buyers wandered from one stall to another, choosing their favorites. Within an

hour and a half, all the items were sold out and we collected 2500 Yuan in total. The raised money

was donated to the nursing house in our city. It was such a meaningful activity that we all felt

thrilled and fulfilled to have the chance to take part in it.

This Charity Sale impresses me deeply because it enhanced my sense of social responsibility,

enriched my campus life, and cultivated my quality of caring for others and helping people in need.

Para 1: Then I continued with more facts. “And who helped Mom bake and decorate that excellent

cake for my last birthday?” I asked. Angie whispered that it was she because she was my sister.

“And who stayed up late taking care of you every time you fell ill?” Angie pursed her lips and

replied it was Mom. “And who built this tree house because you wanted one so badly, even after

he’d hit his thumb with the hammer?” Angie giggled. “It’s a good thing that Daddy doesn’t build

tree houses for a job.” I knew what she meant. The tree-house floor was full of gaps. Still, it was a

great tree house built with love, just like our family. To my delight, I convinced her that our family

was real because we loved each other.

Para 2: Angie and I were talking when Mom called, “Hey, guys, are you coming down to meet your

little brother?” Hearing that, I reached out my hand, asking Angie, “Shall we go now?” She took

my hand and I pulled her to her feet. “When Mom and Dad brought you home for the first time, I

felt proud and responsible as a big brother. The first time we see the new baby, we’ll know he’s part

of our family. We’ll love him and take care of him.” “Even if he’s green?” Angie asked with a grin.

“Even if,” I burst into laughter, letting down the tree-house ladder. Both of us were eager to greet

our new family addition.

Para 2: Angie and I were talking when Mom called, “Hey, guys, are you coming down to meet your

little brother?” Hearing this, we stopped our conversation and let down the ladder. When we got

down, a cute baby sleeping peacefully in my mother’s arms appealed to us at once. I approached

quietly and cautiously touched his soft hair. He meant a treasure to us, bringing new blood to our

family. Angie, too, came and stared at the baby with great amazement, now believing he was part of

our family. At this moment, she understood the meaning of family lies in the sympathy, help and

love. Despite our skin, we will bravely overcome the difficulties we confront with together, which

is what the real family is about.

（3）基本有效地使用了语句间衔接手段，全文结构基本清晰，意义基本连贯。

第二档：（6-10 分）

（1）内容或逻辑上有一些重大问题，续写不够完整，与原文情境有一定程度脱节。

（2）所使用的词汇有限，语法结构单调，错误较多，影响理解。

（3）未能有效地使用语句间衔接手段，全文结构不够清晰，意义不够连贯。

第一档：（1-5 分）

（1）内容或逻辑上有较多重大问题，或有部分内容抄自原文，续写不完整，与原文情境基

本脱节。

（2）所使用的词汇有限，语法结构单调，错误很多，严重影响理解。

（3）几乎没有使用语句间衔接手段，全文结构不清晰，意义不连续。

未作答：所写内容太少或无法看清以致无法判断；所写内容全部抄自原文或与题目要求完全

不相关。
