宾语从句
一．定义
1. 宾语：宾语是动作、行为的对象，是动作的承受者。
I like my teacher.（名词作宾语) I enjoy playing basketball.(动名词作宾语）
I decide to study hard.（不定式作宾语） I know him .（代词作宾语）
2. 宾语从句：宾语从句就是由一个句子来构成主句的宾语，并有一个连接词引导。
试比较：We know him． 简单句
主s 谓v 宾o
We know that he likes English. 复合句
主s 谓v 引导词 宾语从句
二． 宾语从句三要素： 语序、时态、连接词
1. 宾语从句的语序：
宾语从句的从句要用陈述句语序。
He asked me when we should start out the next day. 他问我明天何时出发。
Did you find out where she lost her car? 你发现她在哪儿丢的车了吗？
2. 宾语从句的时态：
（1）主现从不限
主句为现在时态或将来时态，从句可用任何所需要的时态。
You don’t know what I think at all. 你一点也不知道我在想什么。
（2）主过从过
主句为过去的时态，从句一般要用与过去时态相关的时态。
I only knew he was studying in a western country, but I didn’t know which country he was in.
我只知道他在西方国家学习，但是我却不知道他在哪个国家。
He told me that he had told Mary about the meeting already.
他告诉我他已经告诉玛丽了这个会议。
特殊情况：
从句说明的是一般真理、客观事实、自然现象、名言时，仍用一般现在时。
He told the boy that three and three is six. 他告诉这个男孩 3加3等于 6。

例句：
I don’t know whether/if he’ll arrive in time.
Do you know who will teach us English this term?(who 作主语）
Did you hear what she said?（what 作宾语）
I don’t know whose the football is.（whose 作表语）
Could you tell me which book is better?(which 作定语）
We didn’t know when you usually went to school.（when 作状语）
注意：
1）.陈述句充当宾语从句时，用 that 引导，that 无词义，在口语或非正式文体中常省略。如：
My teacher said (that) I was a good boy. 老师说我是个好男孩。
2）当由一般疑问句充当宾语从句时，用 if 或whether 引导，意为“是否”。如：
Is Jim a good student? I don’t know
I don’t know if /whether Jim is a good student.
3）只能用 whether 不用 if 的三种情况：
一般情况下，if 和whether 可以互换，但以下 3种情况只能用 whether：
①与or not 连用：
He asked me whether I was coming or not. 他问我是否会来。
②在介词之后：
I worry about whether I hurt her feelings. 我担心我是否伤害了她的感情。
③在不定式之前：
We haven’t decided whether to go there. 我们还没决定是否要去那里。
4. 宾语从句的否定转移
主句谓语是表示“想，认为”等意义的动词，如 think, believe 等，从句的否定一般要转移到主句中。其反
意疑问句一般与宾语从句一致，且用肯定形式。
I don’t think they’ll wait to the last minute. 我认为他们不会等到最后一分钟的。

I didn’t believe that was his fault, was it? 我相信那不是他的错，难道不是吗？

3.Is there is a bookstore? The man asks me. （变为宾语从句）

4. Does Tom do his homework carefully? We wonder. （变为宾语从句）

5. "Do you take your pet every day?" The reporter asked the actress. （变为宾语从句）
