(2) between 一般指两者之间，其宾语往往是具有具体数目的人（物），或者是由 and 连接的两个具体的人
（物）。

(3)把两者以上的为数不多的人或事物单独地看待，用 and 连接时，要用 between;把两者以上的人或事物看成一
群、一堆或一组而不是个体时，要用 among。
Switzerland lies between France, Italy, Austria and Germany.
瑞士位于法国、意大利、奥地利和德国之间。
The old man's car is among the trees.
老人的汽车在树林中。
(4) between 也可用于三者以上的事物之间，强调一物与数物之间的关系。
