Dear Jim,

You know that I am always looking for new ways to make money. Well, this term I have a great idea. Lots of

my neighbours are looking for someone to help with their gardens. It’s the perfect job.

By Saturday, I have three gardening jobs. The first job goes very well. I cut the grass and clean up the garden.

Mrs. Brown is very happy. She pays me 10 pounds. My next job is hard work. Mrs. Jones has a big garden and it’s

very untidy. But when I finish, she pays me 20 pounds.

My last job is at my next-door neighbour’s house. She asks me to clean the garden and make a fire with the

rubbish(垃圾). Unluckily, her garden shed catches fire too. I don’t have enough money, so my parents have to pay

for a new garden shed.

You may find this hard to believe, but I am doing more gardening jobs next week. I will do my work more

carefully so that I won’t make any mistakes any more.
