一．重点单词、短语、句子

Reading

1.My dog is the cleverest animal of all. (P94)

①形容词的最高级用于三者或者三者以上的人或物之间的比较，最高级前面一般加 the

常配结构：one of …

E.g: 我们都知道长江在中国是最长的河流之一。

We all know that the Yangtze River is one of the longest rivers in China.

② 注意点：要看清楚比较范围内具体对象的个数，然后再决定用比较的等级。

E.g: ⑴Of these two poems ,which one do you like better(good)?

2.With eyes open wide, He hunts when I hide.(P94)

① “open” 在这里是形容词，wide 为副词，意为“充分地”修饰 open

E.g: He fell asleep with the lamp on.

② 拓展—1.“wide” 作为形容词：⑴睁大的，充分张开的 ⑵宽阔的，辽阔的

E.g: ⑴She stared at me with wide eyes as if there is something dirty on my face.

⑵ 他横渡了一条 10000 米宽的河，太惊奇了！

How amazing it is that he swam across a 10000-metre-wide river!

2. “widely” 副词，意为 “广泛地,广阔地”,理解为“比喻意义上的宽”

E.g: English is widely used all over the world and we have to learn it well.

③ “hunt”在这里理解为“搜寻，寻找”， “hunt for sb” 理解为“极力地寻找某人”

“hunt”作为“打猎，猎取”的意思时，要注意其几个名词形式：

E.g: The hunter usually goes hunting in the morning and hunted some small animals.

3.捉弄某人: play tricks on sb 对某人吠叫:bark at sb

和某人打架: fight with/against sb (P94)

4.I’ll look after him till the end. (P94)

① “till the end”可以引申理解为：forever ,意为“直到最后，一直，始终”

E.g: The disabled old couple help each other and live a happy life till the end.

② “till” 和 “until” 同义,有“直到。。。的时候”之意，常用结构：not…until“直到…

才”

注意：until 可用于句首，till 不可以。

E.g: 昨晚我老师直到爸妈回家才离开。

Yesterday evening my teacher didn ’ t leave until/till my parents came back home .

5.trouble （P94）

① 问“你怎么了”我们可以说：what’s the trouble/matter with you? What’s wrong with you?

②trouble 构成的常见短语：

E.g: ⑴I am afraid that you have to do it as I told you or you will get into trouble.陷入麻烦

⑵It is none of your business and you’d better not ask for trouble.自找麻烦

⑶I really have trouble with learning English and I have no idea.做 ... 有麻烦

6.There’s something wrong with keeping a snake if you like it. (P98)

① “keep”在这里是“饲养，喂养”的意思，keep a pet 理解为“养宠物”。

回顾：“keep”的两种用法：⑴保持教室干净 keep the classroom clean

⑵ 借了这本书一个礼拜 keep the book for a week

E.g: ---I wonder if I can keep this book for another two weeks.

---If you can keep it as new as before, I think there’s no problem.

7.agree (P98)

① 两种基本结构：同意做某事 “agree to do...”, 同意某人(的意见) “agree with ...”

E.g: (口语)You took the words right out of my mouth. I can’t agree with you more.

② 拓展：名词形式 agreement 固定搭配: reach an agreement with sb

达成协议，一致认为

E.g: If we fail to reach an agreement with them , our company will have to close down.

E.g: 在阳光下看书对你的眼睛有害。

It ’ s bad for your eyes to read in the sun.

9.weigh up to 40 grams (P99)

① ⑴“weigh”为动词，意为“重，称。。。的重量”，名词形式 weight

⑵ 基于“重”的两种形式，我们在描述某物重多少的时候有下两种表达方式：

How much do(es)... weigh? / What’s the weight of ...

②“up to” 可以理解为“达到。。。”(多达，长达，重达…)

E.g: To make more money , he works up to fourteen hours a day.

一条鱼能长大 5米，真惊奇啊！

How amazing it is that a fish can be up to five meters!

10.noise(99)

① 形容词 noisy 副词 noisily 制造噪音 make (a) noise

E.g: Don’t make so much noise! Can’t you see that the babies are sleeping!

② “noise , voice , sound ”:自我回顾: 噪音
