2. 作名词，意为“仓促，急促”
如：You needn’t rush. There were plenty of tiem.你不必着急，有很多的时间。
如：There is a rush for the concert tickets.出现了争购音乐会入场券的热潮。
知识点 3： suggest
1. 动词，意为“建议”，后接名词，动名词，宾语从句(此时常用虚拟语气 should)。
2. 名词形式是 suggestion，意为“建议，提议”，可数。
如：He suggested a two-day-long stay in Beijing on the way home.再回家的路上他建议待在北
京两天。

知识点 4：mail
1. 动词，意为“邮寄，发电子邮件”
2. 名词，意为“邮件，信件，邮政”

知识点 5：beside 与besides 的区别

2. besides 是介词，意为“除此之外”。

如：I can speak French besides English.除了英语，我还会说法语。

知识点 6：pass by
1. “路过，经过”，指经过人或物的面前或旁边而不停顿，也不注意所经过的人或物。
2. “流逝，过去”，指时间，相当于 go by 或pass。
如：He passed by me without saying anything. 他什么也没说从我身边走过。
如：A year passed by, and still she had not found a suitable job.一年过去了，但她仍然没找到
合适的工作。
知识点 7：Could you please tell me where the restrooms are?
本句是复合句，主句是：Could you please tell me，从句是：where the restrooms are，是宾语
从句，用陈述语序。
如：Do you know how much the shirt is?你知道衬衫多少钱吗？
Could you please 译为“请你……好吗？”，表示请求的礼貌用语，后接动词原形，否定形
式在 please 后加 not.
如：--Could you please turn off the light?--Sure, I can.请你把灯关掉好吗？--当然可以。
【拓展】对could you please 回答时，肯定句用 Sure/Certainly/Of course 等，否定回答可用
Sorry, I can’t/Sorry, I’m afraid not 等。
如：--Could you please open the window?请你打开窗户可以吗？
--Of course 当然（肯定回答）
--Sorry, I can’t. Because the windows are locked on the train.对不起，不行，因为火车上的
窗是锁着的。（否定回答）

本句中 how to get to the bookstore 是“疑问词+不定式”结构，在句中作宾语。可改为 Could
you please tell me How I can get to the bookstore?
如：Have you decided where to go?你决定去哪里了吗？
