【知识点 1】look down at 意为“朝下看；俯瞰；低下头看”，其结构为：动词+表示方向的副词+介词。如：
Tom, look down at the river. See all those boats and ships? 汤姆，看下面的河。看到那些大大小小的船只吗？
As you are traveling down your road, don’t look down at your feet. 当你沿着自己的道路走下去时，不要低头看自己的
脚。
They don’t look down at all except to be content to live on hills. 他们根本不朝下看，除非为了体会住在山上的心满
意足。

【知识点 2】这是一个否定疑问句，用于表示惊奇。否定疑问句即在疑问句中加了否定词 not，由于
是问句，否定词跟在助动词、be 动词或情态动词之后。否定疑问句常用于以下几种情况：
① 表示惊奇。如：Don’t you agree? 难道你不同意吗？// Isn’t there any food at home? 难道家里没有食物了吗？
② 表示感叹，相当于一个感叹句。如：Isn’t this book very interesting? 难道这本书没有趣吗？（这本书多么
有趣啊！）
③ 表示责备。如：Can’t you see this sign? 难道你没有看见这个标志吗？
★(A2).【知识点再现】I still remember, when I was four years old, I sat close to the radio in the
living room, listening to my favorite programmes and to the voices of my favorite presenters. 我仍然
记得在我四岁的时候，紧挨着客厅的收音机坐着，听我最喜欢的节目和最喜欢的主持人的声音。
【知识点 3】sit close to sth. 意为“坐在…的旁边”。close to 意为“在附近；接近于；离……近”。
如：
I sit close to the window. 我坐在窗户旁边。// We were close to when it happened. 事情发生时我们正在附近。
【知识点 4】listening to my favorite programmes 是现在分词作状语表示伴随情况。如：
The boy ran away, shouting loudly. 女孩大喊着跑开了。// She sat on the chair reading a newspaper. 她坐在椅子上看报。
【知识点 5】【辨析】voice，noise 与sound 的用法辨析：
①voice 一般指人的声音，说话、唱歌。如：
The girl has a beautiful voice. 那女孩嗓音很美。// They are talking in low voices. 他们正小声交谈。
②noise 意为“噪音，喧闹声”，常指不悦耳、不和谐的嘈杂声。如：
Don’t make any noise! 别吵闹！// The noise wakes me up. 噪音吵醒了我!
③sound 作“声音，响声”讲时，可以指人或动物发出的声音，或物体碰撞的声言。如：
At midnight he heard a strange sound. 半夜里他听到一种奇怪的声音。

Light travels much faster than sound. 光的传播速度比声音快得多。

我感觉好像他们不是在和广大听众说话，而是在亲自和我说话。
【知识点 6】seem 是动词，意为“好像，似乎，看来”，其用法如下。如：
①It seems/seemed+that... 意为“看起来好像/似乎……”，其中 it 是形式主语，that 引导主语从句。
如：
It seemed that she was interested in the book. 她似乎对这本书感兴趣。
②seem like 意为“看起来好像……”，其后常跟名词(短语)。如：
It seems like rain. 天看起来好像要下雨。// That seems like a good idea. 这个主意看起来好像不错。
③seem to do sth. 意为“好像做某事”，seem 与不定式to do sth.一起构成复合谓语。。如：
He seems to wear a new coat today. 他今天好像穿了一件新衣服。
Mrs Green doesn’t seem (seems not）to like the idea. 格林夫人似乎不太喜欢这个主意。
④seem+(to be)+表语，意为“看起来好像……；似乎……”，表语多为名词或形容词，有时是其他
的词或短语，以说明主语的特征或状态。如：Mr Black seemed to be quite happy. 布莱克先生好像十
分快乐。
Tom seems (to be) a very clever boy. 汤姆看上去是一个非常聪明的男孩。
【拓展】①②③④通常可以与 It seems/seemed+that... 句型进行相互转换。如：
It seems to be an interesting film=It seems that it is an interesting film.=The film seems to be interesting.
= It seems like an interesting film. 它看起来是一部有趣的电影。
【知识点 7】not…but…意为“不是……而是……”，用来连接两个并列成分，强调后者，在意思上表示转折。如：
The book is not Tom’s but Jack’s. 这本书不是汤姆的而是杰克的。（连接两个并列表语）
They need not money but time. 他们需要的不是时间而是金钱。（连接两个并列宾语）
Not my mother but my father is going to Qingdao. 不是我妈妈而是我爸爸将要去青岛。（连接两个并列主
语）
【拓展】not…but…连接两个并列主语时，谓语动词的数要与邻近它的主语保持一致。如：
Not the twins but Tom has gone to Paris. 不是那对双胞胎，而是汤姆去了巴黎。
【知识点 8】in person 意为“亲自，本人”，常在句中作状语。如：
She wants to open her presents in person. 她想亲自打开她的礼物。
She went to New York to receive the award in person. 她亲自前往纽约领奖。

时候，我去小电台找过兼职工作。
【知识点 9】at the age of…=at age ...=when sb. Is/was… years old 意为“在……岁时”。如：
