三．重点语法鉴赏

形容词的比较级(一)

1．概念

表示在 A、B两者之间进行比较，一个比另一个在程度上更进一步。

2．基本句式

“A＋be 动词＋形容词比较级＋than＋B”意为“A比B更……”。

eg：Thelionisstrongerthanthetiger.狮子比老虎强壮。

【注意】比较级前面可用 much，alittle，even 或abit 等词或短语修饰，表示不同程度。

eg：HeismuchstrongerthanI．他比我强壮得多。

3．特殊句式

(1)表示双方程度相同时，用“as＋原级＋as”结构，表示“……和……一样……”。

eg：Sheisastallashersister.她和她妹妹一样高。

(2)“Who/Which＋be 动词＋比较级，AorB？”结构。

eg：Whoistaller，TomorJim？汤姆和吉姆，谁更高？

(3)“比较级＋and＋比较级”表示“越来越……”。

eg：Whenspringcomes，it'sgettingwarmerandwarmer.当春天来到的时候，天气变得越来越暖和。

4．变化规则

单音节和少数双音节形容词比较级变化如下：

(1)一般在词尾加er。

great→greater　small→smaller　clean→cleaner

(2)以字母 e结尾的形容词直接加r。

fine→finer　nice→nicer　wide→wider

(3)以重读闭音节结尾的形容词如末尾只有一个辅音字母，应先双写该字母，再加er。

big→bigger　hot→hotter　red→redder

(4)以“辅音字母＋y”结尾的形容词，先把 y变成 i，再加er。

easy→easier　heavy→heavier　early→earlier
