Full Moon, Full Feelings

Chinese people have been celebrating the Mid-autumn Festival and enjoying mooncakes for centuries.

Mooncakes are in the shape of a full moon on the Mid-autumn night. They carry peoples wishes to the families they

love and miss.There are many traditional folk stories about this festival. However, most people think that the story

of Chang'e is the most touching. Chang'e was Hou Yi’s beautiful wife. After Hou Yi shot down the nine suns, a

goddess gave him magic medicine to thank him. Whoever drank this could live forever, and Hou Yi planned to

drink it with Chang’e. However, a bad man, Pang Meng, tried to steal the medicine when Hou Yi was not home.

Chang'e refused to give it to him and drank it all. She became very light and flew up to the moon. Hou Yi was so

sad that he called out her name to the moon every night

One night, he found that the moon was so bright and round that he could see his wife there. He quickly laid out

her favorite fruits and desserts in the garden. How he wished that Change could come back!

After this, people started the tradition of admiring the moon and sharing mooncakes with their families

三．重点解析

1. 感叹句

本句是由 what 引导的感叹句。用来表达喜、怒、哀、乐等强烈感情的句子叫感叹句，一般用 what 或

how 引导，句末用感叹号，有时可以省略句子的主语和谓语。what 修饰名词或名词短语，how 修饰形容词

或副词。

由what 引导的感叹句结构：

(1)What + a / an + adj. + 可数名词单数 + 主语 + 谓语！

What + a + brave + boy + (Tom + is)!

(2)What + adj. + 可数名词复数 + 主语 + 谓语！

What + beautiful + pictures + ( they + are )!

(3)What + adj. + 不可数名词 + 主语 + 谓语！

What + delicious + food + (it + is)!

What a lovely girl she is ! 她真是个可爱的女孩啊！

What exciting news it is ! 这真是个令人兴奋的消息啊！

由how 引导的感叹句结构：

How + adj. / adv. + 主语 + 谓语！

How + happy + the children+ were!

How delicious the food is in Hong Kong ! 香港的食物无比美味！

How hard the boy is working ! 这个男孩干活真努力！

2. put on

穿戴；涂抹（化妆品）上演；增加（体重）；发胖；假装；装腔作势；使……上场；举办（演出、展览）；

提供（服务）

He didn’t want to put on more weight. 他不想增加体重。

She put on her coat and went out. 她穿上外套，出去了。

The band will put on a live show by the end of this year.

这个乐队今年年底会举办一次现场秀。

put 的常见搭配

put down 写下，记下；放下；贬低；制止，镇压，取缔；剥夺职权，降级。

put down to 把（开支）记在……账上；把（某事）归因于；认为（某事）是由于……。

put up 举起，提高；张贴；建造；提高；推举，提名；提供，供给……住宿；直接行动。

put away 放好；抛弃；储存；把……收拾起来。

put aside 撇开；把……放在一边，暂不考虑；储存……备用。

put off 推迟，延期；使反感；对……失去兴趣；抛弃，拜托，除去。

put out 不安的，不高兴的；熄灭，扑灭，关掉；撵走，赶走，逐出，开除；贷(款)给某人。

put up with 忍受；容忍；将就。

put forward 提出；拿出；放出；推举出。
