It’s important to follow the specific guidelines set by health experts to protect both yourself
and others from the virus. But what should you do if you happen to run into a rule breaker?
Keeping these tips in mind will ensure a smooth shift into the post-coronavirus world.
Avoid direct conflict
In handling uncomfortable situations such as this one, it’s always best to polite. Using a kind
tone of voice rather than a bitter one can go a long way. “The best advice when dealing with social
distance rule breakers is to assume the behavior is innocent and to use a tone that’s non-
judgemental,” says Nick Leighton, an etiquette expert.
Give the benefit of the doubt
While it’s true that some people have decided to not wear masks to make a statement, that’s
not the case for every person without face protection. “For people who aren’t wearing masks, it
could be simply that they forgot to get their mask,” explains Jennifer Lynn, an etiquette expert.
“Or maybe it is because it’s not natural for them. A gentle reminder is all that is needed and if they
resist, then it’s on you to relieve the situation by walking away or moving on.”
Take a step back
If you’re in a situation where someone isn’t respecting the 1.5-metre rule, take either a
physical step back or if that doesn’t work, cross your arms and lean back with your body. “This
will subtly give other people a hint that you don’t want to be too close,” says Lynn. Body language
is especially important since it’s difficult to read facial expressions due to masks. We’re taking the
phrase “body talk” to a whole new level.

Between November of 1881 and July of 1890, Van Gogh painted almost 900 paintings. Since

Many Chinese people used to greet each other with “Have you had your meal?” to show their
friendliness. Recently, a new greeting has emerged in many Chinese cities, namely “Have you lost
weight?”
In recent years, food-delivery services have been growing and Chinese people can easily get
access to foods from all over the world. But people are paying more and more attention to their
health. On food-delivery platforms, replacement meal and food labeled with “low calories” and
“light food” are becoming popular. More people are becoming familiar with various terms, such as
“sugar cut-off” and “low-calorie Fast Diet plan.”
“I used to eat a lot of unhealthy food, which brought me much trouble,” Chen Xin, a
programmer in Hang Zhou said. “Following instructions from my nutritionist, I can feel that my
body is in good condition again.”
As the quality of life for most has greatly improved over the past decades, most people no
longer need to worry about whether they have enough food, but rather whether they have a healthy
diet. According to statistics from global market research firm Euromonitor International, the
global meal replacement market reached $66.16 billion in 2017, of which the Chinese market
contributed about $8.45 billion. The figure is expected to double in 2022.
Despite healthier diets, many people believe, to lose weight, exercise is also of vital
importance. Besides training in the gym, many people choose to take fitness equipment home.
Over the past two years, the online consumption of fitness equipment has increased significantly,
particularly among women who attach great importance to body management. Many people even
like to run marathons. In China’s major cities, holding marathons has become a fashion 1,828
marathons were held nationwide in 2019, with 7.12 million participants.
