一）、并列连词
考点一：and/ but /or/ so
(1)and：和；而且；又；然后
① 表示联合，意为“和、又、而且” 有时用于连接两个相同的词语，表示事物连续性
eg:The train ran faster and faster.
and② 这样的话，就会……，相当于一个肯定条件句
eg:Study hard, and you can get good grades.
(If you study hard, you can get good grades.)
(2)or：或；否则
1. or 否则 相当于一个否定条件句。
eg: Hurry up, or you’ll be late.
(If you don't hurry up, you'll be late.)
2.or 或者（非否定句中）、和（否定句中）
eg:You can take some food or some money.
I don’t like reading or writing.
(3) 表转折的连词 but ，however
but 口语常用词，语气较强，泛指与前述情况相反。后没有逗号，直接连接分句；
eg:Mr Mott is very poor, but he feels happy. Mott 先生很穷，但他感到快乐。
(4)so 所以
so① 可以用作连词，表示“因此，所以”。
eg: I heard some noise outside, so I went out of the room to see why.
so that② 作为连词词组，表示 “以便，为了”。
eg: The vase is put high on the table, so that it won’t be broken.
so③ 可以用作副词，表示“如此，这么”结构为：so+adj./adv
eg: She was so tired that she fell asleep very fast.
表示此意思时，还可以用：so+adj.+a/an+n.
eg:It is so good a movie that everyone who saw it praises it very much.
“④ 如此，如是”，用于表示已经提到的想法，建议或情况等
eg: “Will I need my umbrella?” “I think so.”
考点二： either…or, neither…nor, not only…but also, both…and，as well as.
1)either A or B “或者 A或者 B”
2)neither A nor B “既不 A也不 B”
3)not only A but also B “不仅 A而且 B”
4)both...and... “两者都”
5)as well as “也”
6)not..but.. 不是..而是...
注意： (1)(2)(3)(6)连接主语时，注意谓语需遵循“就近原则”，而(4)因为表示“两者都”，所以
谓语要用复数形式，（5）就远原则。
【练一练】（9小题）
1．Yunnan is colorful millions of people come to enjoy themselves every year．（　　）
A．too…to B．so…that C．not…until D．so…but
【答案】B
【解析】意思: 云南如此多姿多彩以致于每年都有数百万的人来到这里而玩得很开心．
根据语境以及上下文，本题考查的是连词的用法．原句"云南…多姿多彩，…每年都有数百万的
人来到这里而玩得很开心．"A 选项的意思是"太…太…"，B选项 so+形容词或副词+that…引导
结果状语从句，意思是"如此…，以致于…"，C选项的意思是"直到…才…"，D选项的意思
是"如此…但是"．根据句意，故选 B．

中Harry Potter， of course．可知我和妹妹都喜欢《哈利•波特》，但此处谓语 likes 是三单形
式，则只能用 not only…but also．所以选：D。
3．Work hard and be patient， ________ your dream won't come true．（　　）
A．or B．and C．but D．so

【解析】意思: 努力工作，耐心点，否则你的梦想就不会实现．
本题考查连词的用法．祈使句+or+简单句是一个固定句型，根据本题语境可知，要努力工作且
有耐心，"否则"你的梦想就不会实现．表示"否则"要用 or．所以选：A．
4．Unfortunately I was sitting at the table with smokers on_____side of me．（　　）
A．either B．both C．other D．all
【答案】A
【解析】意思: 不幸的是我正坐在两边都是吸烟者的桌旁．
either 任一，两方，连词；句中的 side 是单数，排除 both；all 指三者或三者以上的全部，排除；
根据 unfortunately 不幸地是，可知作者的两边都是吸烟者，排除 C；所以选：A．
5．﹣ Li Mei Liu Hua is good at speaking English，so they can't communicate with
foreign students well．
