基数词的基础用法

1—12① 是独立形式

one 1 two 2 three 3

巧思：[0]怎么表达？

[0]① 的英语单词是 zero

② 在表示号码的时候，通常将[0]读作字母“o”

如：著名电影《007》就是：double o seven→double adj. 两个的，双的

13—19② 和 3—9 基数词有点像

sixteen 16 seventeen 17 eighteen 18

nineteen 19

巧记：[13—19]有规律吗？

总的来说：[13—19]的规律是末尾都是[teen]

[14],[16],[17],[19]① 都是在基数词[4],[6],[7],[9]后加[teen]构成；

[18]② 是在基数词[8]之后加[een]构成；

[13]③ 是在[thir]之后加[teen]构成，而[thir]恰好是[序数词第三]的一部分；

[15]④ 类似于将[名词变复数的规则]进行了[逆运算]，[five→fif]

注：名词变复数规则有一条：以 f(e)结尾的名词改 f(e)为ve 加s。不考虑 s部分，剩下

的是不是和这里很像？

20—90③ 整十位基数词

巧记：[整十位基数词]有规律吗？

总的来说：[整十位基数词]都是以 ty 结尾的

[20]① 和[12]有着相同的前三个单词：[twe + nty]和[twe + lve]；

[30]② 和[13]有着相同的前半部分：[thir + ty]和[thir + teen]；

[50]③ 和[15]有着相同的前半部分：[fif + ty]和[fif + teen]；

[80]④ 和[18]有着相同的前半部分：[eigh +ty]和[eigh + teen]；

[60]⑤ ，[70]，[90]都是基数词[6]，[7]，[9]基础上加[ty]构成；

[40]⑥ 是最特殊的，这里也是常考点

④ 表示“几十几”时，在[十位数与个位数中间必须加连字符“-”]

⑤ 三位数由[“hundred + and + 末尾数”构成]

巧思：为何这里要用[and]连接两头？

[and]在英语中类似于我们中学数学所学的[四则运算符号]中的[加号：+]，故而：

如：101 →

one hundred = 100

+ = and

one = 1

→ one hundred and one = 100 + 1 = 101

⑥ 千位数以上的数字：从右往左，[每3位加一个逗号，从右往左第一个逗号读 thousand，

第二个逗号读 million，第三个逗号读 billion]【了解即可，有需要可以讲解】

如：3,345,212,841

第一个逗号[,841]读作千（thousand）：thousand eight hundred and forty-one

第二个逗号[,212]读作百万（million）：million two hundred and twelve

第三个逗号[,345]读作十亿（billion）：billion three hundred and forty-five

第一个数字[3]写作：three

从左往右连起来：three billion three hundred and forty-five million two hundred and twelve

thousand eight hundred and forty-one = 3,345,212,841

巧思：如何表达除了[hundred],[thousand],[million],[billion]外的数字？

如：一万：[ten thousand]

一亿：[a hundred million]

基数词的进阶用法

基数词的确指和概指

① 基数词[hundred]，[thousand]，[million]，[billion]前有具体数字修饰时，表示确指，词尾

不加-s，且不与 of 连用。

·It is reported that the earthquake has left about three thousand people homeless.

据说地震使得大约 3000 人无家可归。

② 基数词[hundred]，[thousand]，[million]，[billion]表示概指时，其词尾要加-s，且常与 of

连用。

·Thousands of fans are waiting for the singer.

成千上万的粉丝们正在等着歌手。

巧思：[0]有序数词吗？

[0]是没有序数词的，因为序数词是表示顺序性，[0]没有顺序的说法

巧思：[second]还有其他含义吗？

[second] 作名词：含义是“秒”，是可数名词。

如：There are only two seconds left. 只剩下两秒钟的时间了。。

4—19② 的序数词似乎有些规律

fourth 第四 fifth 第五 sixth 第六

seventh 第七 eighth 第八 ninth 第九

tenth 第十 eleventh 第十一 twelfth 第十二

thirteenth 第十三 fourteenth 第十四 fifteenth 第十五
