When I was a boy, I never looked forward to® January. It was a time of short, grey days and long, dark nights.
The cold wind here in the mountains made waiting outside _1_ the school bus very painful. The windows and the

decorations had been taken down and the tree thrown away. The holidays were over and now it was just winter.

books on the dark winter days. Warm meals around the table seemed to hold 7 in the winter months. They made
