Dear John,

How is everything going? I am writing to invite you to attend an English

evening party held by our school's English Club. The party will start at 6:30

p.m. this Friday evening in our School Hall.

At the party there will be a variety of wonderful activities that you can't

performances, but also you may participate in some interesting English games

in person. In addition, this is also a good chance for you to know some new

Paragraph 1

With worry and uncertainty, I entered her office. Ms.Robbins told me

that I had failed the math test ,and, what was worse, that I had to spend another

year in middle school if I wanted to be admitted to a high school. Hardly had I

heard the news when I was reduced to tears.Seeing that,Ms.Robbins came to

comfort and encourage me, "I'm glad to do what I can to help you." After

leaving her office, wandering in the rain, I was wondering how to tell the bad

news to my parents, anxious and nervous.

Paragraph 2

After I took the courage to tell my parents the bad news, they were silent.

Trembling with fright, I waited for their blame. However, they encouraged me

to have another try in ninth grade. It was then that I determined to take math

seriously. The following day, I turned to Ms Robbins for help and told her

about my determination. Ms. Robbins was happy that I finally decided to work

hard on math. Thanks to her patient guidance and my devotion, I made great

progress and was relieved of the fear of math. Finally, I made it to a good high

school and a university. Now I'm a doctor and I' m grateful to Ms. Robbins.
