Dear worried,
Learning that you’re feeling anxious and losing your temper due to high school pressures, I
completely understand what you’re going through and want to offer some advice.
Firstly, talk to someone you trust about how you feel, which is a good way of letting your
anxiety and anger out without hurting others or yourself. Secondly, go outdoors and play team games
with your friends as physical exercise is an effective way to get rid of negative emotions. Finally,
keep in mind that you should always concentrate yourself on some positive and relaxing things when
you feel fed up with academic stress, since it can be helpful in lifting your spirits and gathering up
your courage to face those difficulties again.
I hope what I say will be a comfort to you and help you out.
Yours,
Jessica
第二节
As she eyed the area from a distance, panic set in. Jobie picked up the pace, her heart pounding
louder the closer she got. When she reached the place she’d left them, her heart sank. “My lucky
spikes are gone!” she screamed. Jobie’s teammates helped her search the whole park, but there was
no sign of her lucky spikes. “So long, gold.” Jobie was hopeless, tears welling up in her eyes.
The next day, Jobie turned up in a new pair of spikes for the championships. Uneasily, Jobie
shuffled her feet. For her, the loss of her lucky spikes meant the loss of the gold medal. “Next up is
the girls’ 100-meter hurdles,” said the announcer. Jobie took several deep breaths, and her teammates
encouraged her as she walked down to the starting line. Feeling inspired, Jobie decided to try her
best. In a flash, Jobie was off and cleared hurdle after hurdle. She got closer and closer, and cheers
broke out. Wearing a wide smile, Jobie whispered, “No lucky spikes. Lucky me.”
A
Students will experience college-level courses given by some of
our college’s leading experts and will receive written feedback (反馈) on their work at the end of the
course. Pre-college students will also receive a grade of Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory and a certificate
of completion at the conclusion of the program.(学生将体验学院顶尖专家开设的大学水平课程,
根据 COURSE: Psychology of Creativity “中的 June 15 — June 18 (6 月15 日- 6
Psychology of Creativity。故选 C。
This college-level course in creative
storytelling functions as an introduction to a variety of storytelling techniques that appear in different
forms of creative writing, such as short fiction and playwriting.(这门大学水平的创造性故事课程
B。
B
C 25. B 26. A 27. B
根据第一段“There is a simple solution to this problem: school uniforms.
Every year around August, millions of teens take their parents to stores to buy new clothes for
the start of the school year. Not every parent can afford this, and some teens are forced to go to
school in the same clothes they wore last year. The obvious differences in clothes cause differences
I know from personal experience and surveys that wearing uniforms
creates a sense of equality among peers
Uniforms taught me that I was myself, except what I
wore.(校服让我知道我就是我自己,除了我的穿着)”、第五段“Uniforms also help to a much
safer learning environment.
provide a better educational experience for all students no matter what race, culture, or economic
Luckily, cameras all over the school quickly found the stranger before
any danger could ever happen as he was out of place.
故选 A。
In closing, wearing uniforms is good for both schools and
students.
C
C 29. A 30. C 31. D
根据第一段“Viewers can then readily buy it by clicking on a link(观众可以通
For example, smiling signals a high probability of happiness, while
an expression usually points toward anger.
故选 A项。
We found that, perhaps unsurprisingly, when salespeople show
more negative emotions — such as anger and disgust — the volume of sales went down. But we also
found that a similar thing happened when the salespeople show high levels of positive emotions,
such as happiness or surprise.(我们发现,当销售人员传达更多的负面情绪时——比如愤怒和厌
A likely explanation, based
on our research, is that smiling can be disgusting because it lacks true feelings and can reduce trust in
the seller. A seller’s happiness may be taken as a sign that the seller is gaining interests at the
We found that, perhaps unsurprisingly, when salespeople show
more negative emotions — such as anger and disgust — the volume of sales went down. But we also
found that a similar thing happened when the salespeople show high levels of positive emotions,
such as happiness or surprise.(我们发现,当销售人员传达更多的负面情绪时——比如愤怒和厌
Expressions Affect Selling Products Online
