Before  I  turned  ten,  I  had  lost  both  my

parents.  I  lived  alone  in  a  room  that  a

Mybeat 路线 spanned  three  kilometres,

from  Moazzam  Jahi  Market  to  Basheer

Bagh.

After  distributing  the  copies,  I  would

rush  home-  another  three  kilometres

away,cookmymeasly breakfast, andbe

offtotheKachigudaHighSchool.

Afzal’s  mother,  Naseem  Bano,  opened

thedoor.Sheaskedmetosit,pattedmy

back  and  went  inside.  She  reappeared

carrying  a  large  tray  full  of  tea  and

snacks.

门。她让我坐下，拍了拍我的

后背，然后走进屋里。她重新

Then  came  Mr  Kader,  Afzal’s  father,

tellingmeAfzalwastheironlysonanda

studentinmyschool.

Naseempulledupherchairnexttomine

and  gently  asked,  “Tell  me  about  your

I  wasn't  quite  sure  why  she  wanted  to

know  that,  but  I  told  her  about  my

morningjobinafewwords.

Naseem 将她的椅子拉到我旁

边，轻轻地问我：“和我说说

你每天都做什么吧，从早晨你

醒来的时候开始。”
