Water on the Moon
NASA has confirmed the presence of water on the moon’s sunlit surface,a breakthrough
21 (suggest) the chemical compound that is vital to life on Earth could be distributed across more
parts of the lunar surface than the ice that 22 (find) previously in dark and cold areas.
“We don’t know yet if we can use it as a resource,” NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine
said, but he added that learning more about the water is still crucial.
The discovery comes from the space agency’s Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared
Astronomy,or SOFIA—a 23 (modify) Boeing 747 that 24 take telescope high into Earth’s
atmosphere,25 researchers may peer at objects in space with hardly any visual disturbance from
water vapor. To detect the molecules,SOFIA also used a special camera to distinguish between
waters specific wavelength of 6.1 microns and that of its close chemical relative hydroxyl, or OH.
The data confirm 26 experts have suspected, that water might exist on the moon’s sunny
surface, though the form of it shall be 27 (obvious) to detect. Experts will now try to figure out
exactly how the water came to form and why it persists.
“Data from this location reveal water in concentration of 100 to 412 parts per million trapped
28 a cubic meter of soil.” NASA said in a release about the discovery.
29 without a thick atmosphere, water on the sunlit lunar surface should just be lost to space,”
said Casey Honniball, the lead author of a study about the discovery. “Somehow we’re actually
seeing it.”
There are several possible explanations for the waters presence, including an interesting yet
reasonable 30 claiming its origin to the stony micro objects from space. Small balls of glass from
that process could trap water, according to the researchers’ paper.

Eating Jellyfish Could Come to the Rescue
According to the IUCN Red List 32,000 species are threatened with extinction—everything
from birds and mammals.Despite national and international efforts being gathered to protect
31 species, we actively fish for many of them. For those seafood lovers, the news is sad,but the
researchers have come up with an unusual way we can help—and it 32 eating jellyfish.
Between 2006 and 2014,92 vulnerable or threatened 33 were being caught, recorded, and
sold. When they are sold,it is 34 that fish and invertebrate (无脊椎) species are required to be
35 according to species,so consumers have no way of knowing what they’re eating.
It is stressed that only a/an 36 view of the real problem is shown. “A lot of the ‘seafood
records’ are listed in groups like ‘marine fish’. Here we didn’t look at those vague records,we only
looked at records where the actual species was listed—so we’ve made a huge 37 of the actual
catch.
There are some ways to untie the mess we’re creating in the world’s oceans, including 38
our idea of seafood to include jellyfish. That might sound a little off the theme, but it’s not the first
time scientists have suggested it as a food source.
There are other ways to help keep the lovely marine lives off the menu. “We need to improve
the labelling of seafood so that consumers can have all the information to make a/an 39
choice,” conservation scientist Carissa Klein told Science Alert.
And these choices,at least in some places, are easier than you might imagine. In Australia,
where the researchers are based, there’s even official guides providing the 40 future both on
your table and at sea.

philosophy of art have had a 45 impact on the or 20th-century aesthetics.Among these are
problems relating to the theory of form of art and to the distinction between representation and

theoretical positions have taken on this issue:one holds that art and its appreciation are a 47
to some recognized moral good, 48 the other maintains that art is in itself valuable and an end.

years there has also been an increasing preoccupation with art as the prime object of critical
judgement.Corresponding to the trend in contemporary aesthetic thought, 49 have followed
