Dear Susan,
I’m writing to thank you for those wonderful days in London. I will never forget my visit.
I was a little anxious before I arrived in London because I didn’t know what to expect. But
when I arrived, I knew there’s no need to worry. You gave me a very warm welcome and made me
feel at home very quickly. I will always remember your kindness and hospitality. And thank you
also for arranging so many interesting activities, which I know took a great deal of your precious
time.
It was very kind of you to do so much for me and I appreciate it more than I can say.

The next day, the deliveryman returned the picture book, saying the girl could not be reached.
The boy felt that what they had done was wrong and that the picture book should fly to the little
girl by itself. So he wrote a note as well, reading “I’m sorry to have kept you waiting. It took me
some days to practise flying so that I could fly to your house.” The boy put it in the book and took
them to the little girl’s house. But there was no one at home. Her neighbor told him that the girl’s
mother was in hospital and that she had to stay with her. To make sure the book could fly onto the
girl’s hands, he resolved to pay a visit to her house after school every day.
Until one day, the big boy heard a woman and a girl talking in the house. He knocked at the
