应用文
Dear friends,
As a high school student, I am deeply concerned about the destruction of cultural
heritage around the world. Human activities such as war, urbanization, and tourism have
damaged many cultural sites, and we risk losing them forever. It is time for us to take
action and protect our global heritage.
The incredible splendour of heritage sites is a reminder of the power of nature and
the genius of man. It is in places like Jiuzhaigou Valley that we cannot help but be
humbled, come to understand our limitations as human beings, and know that our duty is
to protect them for future generations. Besides, heritage sites provide us with
opportunities to wonder, to be inspired and to think more deeply about our time on the
Earth.
As Cicero remarked, “To be ignorant of what occurred before you were born is to
remain always a child.” Let us work together to protect it for future generations.
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua
续写
Just then Terry asked me if we could gather all the girls and work with them
together.I reluctantly agreed. She could tell I wasn’t thrilled about the idea but at least it
broke the ice between us. During the next few weeks, Terry always made sure to include
me when discussing with the coach and asked for my ideas to improve our team. I just
wanted to hate her but she kept making it harder for me to do that. Practice once again
became daily routine and eventually, I got over myself and we grew to be very close
friends.
At the end of the year, the Annual Sports Award Ceremony was held to honor the
valuable players and cheerleaders. With enthusiasm, I cheered as Coach Maguire handed
Terry her captains cup. Just as Terry walked off the stage, Maguire cleared her throat and
announced that the cheerleading Spirit Award” would go to the girl showing the most
dedicated effort. Hearing my name announced, I was shocked and couldn’t help weeping.
As I headed toward the stage, Terry was coming toward me, too. We hugging each other
tightly, Terry whispered in a tone of delight, “Nobody deserves this more than you.”

A
On Course by Skip Downing 部分中“In its eighth edition, the
book provides you with self-assessment tools to help you identify what you need to
change for academic success. It contains guided journal entries to help you with learning,
On Course
根据 Unlimited Memory by Kevin Horsley 部分中“This book has
strategies to help you learn faster while also teaching you to become more productive.(
How to
Become a Straight-A Student by Carl Newport 部分中“The book will teach you different
approaches and strategies to help you score better, but spend less time on studying, with a
Fortunately, there are books that can
help to make dealing with school easier.(幸运的是,有一些书可以帮助你更容易地应对
故选 A
B
My next-to-zero skills had not stopped my passion for the
game.
There is always some price to pay for maintaining a love.
I raised funds in an old-fashioned way, selling something the public could actually sink
their teeth into.

I stood there speechless for what seemed 10 years,
opening and closing my mouth like a fish out of water.(我站在那里说不出话来,好像有
故选 A
It is surely mine alone to claim: I sold a dozen
doughnuts to Tim Horton, one of my most respected players who lived a mere three
blocks away!
由文章第二段中“but they’re also from birds that live on farms using
regenerative agriculture — special techniques to cultivate rich soils that can trap
greenhouse gases.
I’m excited about our progress,” says Brown, who
harvests eggs for Denver-based NestFresh Eggs and is adding more cover crops that draw
worms and crickets for the chickens to eat. The birds’ waste then fertilizes fields. Such
improvements “allow our hens to forage for high-quality natural feed that will be good
for the land, the hens, and the eggs that we supply to our customers.”
为①句:whether animal products from regenerative farms can become the next premium
offering(来自再生农场的动物产品能否成为下一个优质产品)Athe potential of
