Sara and Vivian had different attitude to studies. Sara took studies seriously white Vivian never considered

It was Monday morning and the start of their term assessments ( 评估) As usual. Sara got up early, freshened

up and after breakfast, she left for school,

Sara was confident about her preparations as she had studied the whole weekend, but a bit nervous like

weekend with her family at the beach. She really had fun and so she was excited to tell this to her friends.

That day also, Vivian got up late and therefore did everything in a hurry. She rushed to the school to get a

seat beside Sara or any other good student in the class so that she could ask them to show her the answer sheet.

Luckily, she found an empty chair beside Sara in the examination room.

She gave a smile to Sara and asked in a low voice if she could show her the answer sheet, To her surprise,

Sara refused at once. Vivian was very surprised because she hadn't expected that.

When the exam started, Vivian tried to peak (偷看) at sara's paper while Sara kept hiding her answers. But it

was impossible for Sara to keep hiding answers while still writing. Thus forgetting her peeping friend, she

completed her paper and left the alas room.

Vivian copied almost nil the answers from Sara and was expecting good graded. Sara didn't like vivian's

attitude and was angry with her. She didn't speak to her after that.

After one week, the results were announced and the papers were handed back to the students. Sara got first

place in the exam while Vivian failed.

similarly, other answers were wrong too. As Vivian didn't study before, she had no idea about the meaning of what

she was copying from Sara's paper as she couldn't see all the answers. Sara felt bad for Vivian so she hoped her

friend would end this careless attitude and instead take her studies seriously. Vivian was ashamed of cheating and

losing her best friend, so she promised never to cheat again and study hard from that day on.

get your script ( 剧本 ).”I was shocked. Jim, an excellent boy, was playing the other lead.To learn my lines, I

practiced every day and finally memorized them. I became more confident and happier.

Then we started practising acting. Jim played the character, a Scrooge ( 吝啬鬼), who is unwilling to put a

candle in his window so that the light will show passers-by the slippery ice on the path below. On the

Thanksgiving day, Star comes along, falls on the ice and gets injured.

Finally feeling bad, the Scrooge helps her up. To thank him, Star kisses his hand.

One day, before our drama class started, I saw a terrible drawing of me on the blackboard with words: Falling

Star. I was laughed at by someone.

The teacher asked,“Who did this?” Nobody knew. We started rehearsing ( 排练), but my heart wasn’t in it.

The teacher told me not to care about the silly trick; it wouldn’t happen again. But I was sad and anxious, wanting

to quit. Finally I moved on and continually worked hard for the play.

Soon it was the day before the show. It was time for the dress rehearsal. I was excited. Everything went

smoothly at the dress rehearsal until the scene where I slipped on the ice and the Scrooge helped me up.

When I kissed his hand, a terrible noise and laughter sounded from behind the set. I quickly left the stage and

hurried into an empty room. With tears, I said, “I can’t do it. Please get someone else!”
