One possible version:
Campus Cleanup Day is an annual event organized by our school's Environmental Protection Society.
As a member, I am excited to share my experience from this term’s event.
The process of the activity was well-organized. We were divided into groups and assigned different
areas of the campus to clean up. Volunteers picked up litter, swept the grounds, and even planted new trees
and flowers.
Personally, I felt a great sense of accomplishment after the cleanup. It was rewarding to see the
positive impact we made on our environment. I would like to take this opportunity to encourage more
people to join in environmental protection actions. Even small efforts can make a significant difference. Let
us all do our part in creating a greener and cleaner future for generations to come.

M: Why not eat outside? There’s a newly-opened Chinese restaurant across from the market.
W: That sounds great. Let’s have a try.
Text 5
W: I really don’t know how to thank you, my dear friend. The CD you gave me as a Christmas gift is just
what I’ve been dreaming of.
M: I’m very glad you like it.
Text 6
M: I think it’s beneficial to practice Tai Chi.
W: Why do you say that? Have you been practicing Tai Chi recently?
M: Yes. I spend half an hour practicing it every morning. And now I sleep earlier and better than before.
I’m thinking about adding another 30 minutes of practice every day.

W: I havent made up my mind.
M: Tell me your worries, please.

W: Hello Ian. Have you finished the homework? Who do you write about?
M: Yes. I wrote about my dad because he is a firefighter.
W: Really? Did he actually go into burning buildings?
M: Yes, and he sometimes has to crawl into tight places to rescue people.
W: Has he ever been trapped in a burning building?
M: Well, he once broke down a door and carried a little girl out of her house. Someone left the stove on,
and it ignited (点燃) a fire in the kitchen.
W: Was everyone all right?
M: All five people living there escaped safely, but the house burned to the ground.
W: Your dad is incredibly brave, a real hero. Maybe I should become a firefighter someday.
M: I’m definitely going to be a firefighter, Wendy. I want to be just like my dad.
Text 9
M: Vivian, have you ever overcome any difficulty?
W: Certainly, I’ve overcome a lot of difficulties, and I’m sure everyone has, too. But what impressed me

M: What happened?
W: I didn’t adapt to college life. I mean I did make lots of friends. I got along well with my roommates.
But those were not difficult, the real tough thing was taking some courses. It was difficult to do well
in final exams.
M: Yeah, how did you deal with it? Did you ask your teachers for help?
W: No. After suffering for a long time, I decided to find people with similar problems. We formed a
study group and studied together. I think that’s how I overcame the obstacle of my first year of college.
M: What year are you in now?
W: I have just started the fourth year.
M: Great. I’m inspired by your example.
