It’s so great to learn from your last letter that you want to learn Chinese language. You mentioned that you

have two optional courses, one is listening and speaking in Chinese, the other is reading and writing in Chinese. But

you have no idea about which one to choose.

From my perspective, I’d like to recommend listening and speaking course, the reasons are as follows. For one

hand, only by speaking and listening can you keep practicing it and only by putting what you have learnt into use,
