读后续写
读后续写考题提供一段 350 词以内的语言材料,要求考生依据该材料内容和所给段落开头语进行续写
(150 词左右),将其发展成一篇与给定材料有逻辑衔接、情节和结构完整的短文。从试题结构看,读后续写
检测的是书面理解能力和书面表达能力。因此,在写作之前,首先要读懂文本,理清故事情节,然后构思
故事的发展和结局。
读后续写是将读和写结合起来的一种新型写作形式。首先要求学生快速阅读所给文本,获取有效信
息。读后续写多为记叙文,我们在阅读时要注意以下几个方面:
1.抓住记叙文六要素
即人物、时间、地点、事件的起因、经过和结果。而读后续写所提供的文本没有最后结果要素,因此阅读
文本时要抓住前面五个要素,并推测结果要素。
2.掌握记叙文的线索
记叙文的线索是贯穿全文、将材料串联起来的一条主线,它把文章的各个部分联结成一个统一整体。记叙
文主要线索有:时间线、情节线和情感线等。有些线索以明线的形式出现,有些以暗线的形式出现。阅读
文本时要抓住这些线索。必要时可以列出以更好地理解文章,为续写做好准备。只有对原文的脉络线索和
段落结构有准确、深刻的理解,续写的内容才能和原文紧密契合。
3.把握文章主旨,推测故事方向
只有把握了文章的主旨意图,才能很好地推测故事发展方向以完成续写,并确保续写的内容和原文存在逻
辑上的一致性,照应原文的信息。
4.分析用词特点和语言风格
通过分析文章的语言特点,确保在续写时尽量在语言特点上和行文风格上与所给文章保持一致。
典例展示
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
One fall,my wife Elli and I had a single goal:to photograph polar bears.We were staying at a research camp
outside “the polar bear capital of the world”—the town of Churchill in Manitoba,Canada.
Taking pictures of polar bears is amazing but also dangerous.Polar bears—like all wild animals—should be
photographed from a safe distance.When I’m face to face with a polar bear,I like it to be through a camera with a
telephoto lens.But sometimes,that is easier said than done.This was one of those times.
As Elli and I cooked dinner,a young male polar bear who was playing in a nearby lake sniffed,and smelled
our garlic bread.
The hungry bear followed his nose to our camp ,which was surrounded by a high wire fence.He pulled and
bit the wire.He stood on his back legs and pushed at the wooden fence posts.
Terrified,Elli and I tried all the bear defense actions we knew.We yelled at the bear,hit pots hard,and fired
blank shotgun shells into the air.Sometimes loud noises like these will scare bears off.Not this polar bear though—
he just kept trying to tear down the fence with his massive paws(爪子).
I radioed the camp manager for help.He told me a helicopter was on its way ,but it would be 30 minutes
before it arrived.Making the best of this close encounter(相遇),I took some pictures of the bear.
Elli and I feared the fence wouldn’t last through 30 more minutes of the bear’s punishment.The camp manager
suggested I use pepper spray.The spray burns the bears’ eyes,but doesn’t hurt them.So I approached our uninvited
guest slowly and,through the fence,sprayed him in the face.With an angry roar(吼叫),the bear ran to the lake
to wash his eyes.

一. 信息获取
1.抓住文章六要素

结果:根据文本内容和续写第一段与第二段提示首句,推测结果应是成功脱险。
2.掌握文章线索
(1)情节线:As Elli and I cooked dinner.→A hungry bear followed his nose to our camp.→The bear pulled and bit
the wire fence.→I used pepper spray.→The bear ran to the lake to wash his eyes.→...
(2)情感线:去拍摄北极熊的兴奋(amazing)→遭遇北极熊的惊恐(terrified)→最终成功脱险(relieved)
3.把握文章主旨,推测故事方向
本文主题语境属于人与自然。文章讲述了主人公拍摄北极熊的一次危险(dangerous)经历,重点描述了主人
公遭遇北极熊以及与北极熊斗争的惊险过程,阐述人与动物和谐相处的主旨。由此推测故事发展的方向:
一是如何与北极熊斗智斗勇;二是在直升机的帮助下,最终成功脱险。
4.分析用词特点和语言风格
文章侧重动作描写,运用大量的动词,如sniffed,smelled,followed,pulled,bit,yelled,hit,fired,ran
等,句式长短结合,生动形象地描述人熊相遇的过程,画面感强。并用一些情感类心理描写与情节叙述,
渲染了人熊大战的紧张气氛。续写时要侧重动作与心理描写。
二.读首句 猜内容
读后续写题型属于半开放性的,要求对文本后面的故事情节及故事结尾做出推断,这种形式既可以让
考生充分发挥想象力,又能让考生有章可循。后面续写的两段所给的首句很关键,起到承上启下的作用,
对于推测下文情节至关重要。同时,由第二段的首句也可以推断第一段的结尾信息。根据每段的首句,可
以设问几个问题,然后把答案组合起来,基本上就是读后续写部分的雏形。

It was summer,and my dad wanted to treat me to a vacation like never before.He decided to take me on a trip
to the Wild West.
We took a plane to Albuquerque,a big city in the state of New Mexico.We reached Albuquerque in the late
afternoon.Uncle Paul,my dad’s friend,picked us up from the airport and drove us up to his farm in Pecos.
His wife Tina cooked us a delicious dinner and we got to know his sons Ryan and Kyle.My dad and I spent the
night in the guestroom of the farm house listening to the frogs and water rolling down the river nearby.Very early in
the morning,Uncle Paul woke us up to have breakfast.“The day starts at dawn on my farm ,” he said.After
breakfast,I went to help Aunt Tina feed the chickens,while my dad went with Uncle Paul to take the sheep out to
graze(吃草).I was impressed to see my dad and Uncle Paul riding horses.They looked really cool.
In the afternoon,I asked Uncle Paul if I could take a horse ride ,and he said yes,as long as my dad went
with me.I wasn’t going to take a horse ride by myself anyway.So,my dad and I put on our new cowboy hats,got
on our horses,and headed slowly towards the mountains.“Don’t be late for supper,” Uncle Paul cried,“and
keep to the track so that you don’t get lost!” “OK!” my dad cried back.After a while Uncle Paul and his
farm house were out of sight.It was so peaceful and quiet and the colors of the brown rocks,the deep green pine
trees,and the late afternoon sun mixed to create a magic scene.It looked like a beautiful woven( 编织的) blanket
spread out upon the ground just for us.

写作第二段时,我们可以根据上一段的内容以及本段首句“We had no idea where we were and it got dark.”得
出两个信息——迷路和天色已晚。因此我们可以围绕这两个信息试着提出以下问题:
