读后续写的具体要求:
一、重要信息定位：
①人物有几个，分别是谁
②事情是什么，有没有重要转折
③发生事情的地点在哪
二、故事发展顺序：一般按照时间顺序

三、行为动作与主人公心理变化：

五、语言的丰富性

4.通过恰当的身体部位动作描写让叙述更加生动：

hands: pat him on the shoulder/head, grasp/ hold one’s hands/ point to sb/sth, wave his hands
head:nod/shake his head violently
六、语篇的连贯性
1. 内容连贯：故事大意一致，写作意图一致
2. 语句连贯------衔接词的准确使用
but/however, nevertheless, whereas, although, though, unfortunately, instead, on the contrary,
besides, moreover, furthermore, what's more, what's worse worse still, so, thus, therefore, hence
consequently, accordingly, as a result
3. 语言连贯 —— 语言风格一致

阅读下面材料，根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写一段，使之构成一篇完整的短文。
Once there was a young boy named Peter who used to live in country side with his father and mother.
Though lacking money, his parents wanted him to study well in high school, so he wouldn’t have to
struggle on fields as a farmer. However, Peter hated going to school and started skipping classes.
Upon learning this，his parents felt frustrated and sad. Not only because Peter wasted his entire year
but also because he lied to his parents. They went to ask him for an explanation and Peter rudely replied
that he didn’t want to study.
His father lost his patience and scolded him, “What do you want to do if not study? Do you want to
walk around on the roads and beg for food?” Without hearing anymore, Peter rushed out of the house.
He enjoyed being outside without any restriction but soon he spent all his money he had with him. He had
no shelter, no money to buy food and no work to do. Nobody had enough trust to give work to a poor
school boy. He got sick due to hunger and cold. People who passed by threw coins at him assuming he was
a beggar. At that time he remembered how lovingly his parents took care of him and started to miss them a
lot.
One day，a boy named Mintu noticed him. He gave Peter food and medicine and even found him a
job at a store. Soon, both became good friends. Peter told Mintu where he came from. He said he felt guilty
about what he had done and didn’t know how to face his parents again.
Hearing Peter’s story, Mintu advised him to go back home, but Peter hesitated.

Mintu visited Peter’s parents and told them what had happened to Peter. When Mintu came
back, Mintu told Peter that his parents died when he was very young. Then Mintu said, “Peter, you
don' t have to lose our parents to realize how important they are. Aren't you lucky to have loving
parents who work hard and want to send you to school? If I were in your place, I would never break
their hearts by leaving them.”
The next morning, Mintu told Peter that someone was waiting for him outside. Peter went out
and saw his parents. Peter rushed to them and hugged them. He apologized to his parents, but his
parents didn’t have any complaint against him. Peter and his parents heartily thanked Mintu for his
help and happily left for their home together.
