冠词分为不定冠词定冠词

一．冠词的泛指、特指、类指、专指

泛指：是指首次提到的、不限定的人或事物。

特指：是指在上文已提到的人或事物，或是指被限定性修饰语在其后加以限定的人或

事物，也可以是指说话双方心目中所默认的特定的人或事物。

类指：是指具有共同性质或典型特征的事物的一个类别。

专指：是指类别中的一员或一部分具体事物。

二．单数名词

1. a/ an （1）泛指单一、每一、任一事物 (2) 类指

2. the (1) 特指---- a.上文提到的人或物。

b.被限定性修饰语所限定的人或物

c.说话双方心目中所默认的人或物。

d 世界上独一无二的事物。

(2) 专指 The red magazine belongs to Mary.

(3) 类指 The horse is a useful animal.

复数名词和不可数名词:

1. the （1）特指 a.上文提到的人或物。

b.被限定性修饰语所限定的人物

c.说话双方心目中所默认的人或物。

（2）专指

2．零冠词（1）泛指的人或物（2）类指

三．不定冠词的用法：

1.在叙述时用于第一次提到的某人或某物 This is ___book.

2.泛指人或事物的某一类别，以区别于其他种类。 A plane____ a machine that can fly.

3.泛指某人或某物 A girl ___ waiting for you.

4.用在重量、长度、时间或变量单位的名词前，表“一”这个数量，但数的概念某有

5.用在某些物质名词或抽象名词前，表“一阵、一份、一类、一场”等

6.用于某些固定词组中

四．普通名词使用冠词的类指用法

1.a/ an + 单数名词、the+单数名词、零冠词+复数名词/不可数名词时，所用冠词都可

表泛指，但也有细微区别：

（1）the+单数名词指的是整个类别，这个类别是可以区分于另一类别的。

如：The car _______(go ) faster than the bike.

(2) a/ an+单数名词侧重于指类别中任何一个特点。

如：A tiger is a type of very scary wild cat that_______(have) yellow fur.

(3) 零冠词+复数名词/ 不可数名词侧重指类别中的许多个体。
