—They’re between the post office and the library.在邮局和图书馆之间。

Point 1 Is there ...？

是there be 句式的一般疑问句形式，意为＂有……吗？＂。

【拓展】

【辨析】there be 和have/has 都意为＂有＂，但有区别：

there be 表示＂某处有某物/人＂，指客观存在。句型为＂There be＋某物/人＋某地＂。有两

个或多个并列主语时，be 动词的形式与最靠近的主语在数上保持一致，即＂就近原

则＂。

have/has 表示＂某人/物有＂，指从属关系。句型为＂某人/物＋ have/has＋某物/人＂。用 have

或has 取决于句子的主语。

There is a pen and two pencils in my pencil box.

在我的文具盒里有一支钢笔和两支铅笔。 (钢笔和铅笔不一定是属于我的)

There are two pencils and a pen in my pencil box.

在我的文具盒里有两支铅笔和一支钢笔。

I have a pen and two pencils.

我有一支钢笔和两支铅笔。(钢笔和铅笔是属于我的)

He has two pencils and a pen.

他有两支铅笔和一支钢笔。

pay(...)for...为……支付/付费(……)

Point 3 across from 在……对面

across from 是固定短语，其后接表示地点的名词或代词，意为＂在……对面＂，相当于 opposite 或on the

other side of。

He lives in the house across from/opposite/on the other side of ours.

他住在我们对面的那栋房子里。

across 用作副词或介词,意为＂过；穿过＂。

Can you swim across? (作副词)

你能游过去吗？

I can swim across the river in 10 minutes.(作介词)

我可以在十分钟之内游过河去。

【易错警示】

不要将 across 误用作动词。

河水太深，我们过不了。

The river is too deep and we can’t across.(×)

The river is too deep and we can’t cross.(√)

【辨析】across，over 与through

across 表示从一定范围的一边到另一边，动作在物体表面进行

over 多指物体从上空通过

through 表示从中间穿过，动作在里面进行
