My name is Mark. I've got an unusual hobby for a teenager. My hobby is bird watching.

Some of my friends think it's a silly hobby but they don't really understand what it's all about.

I love bird watching because I want to spend a lot of time out of the house. Many teens

spend most of their time indoors playing computer games or watching TV. I like doing that

too, but not all day. I like walking in the countryside and seeing what I can find. I usually go

bird watching at the weekend for three or four hours in the afternoon. I sometimes go bird

watching for an hour really early in the morning before school. It's the best time to see birds.

I keep a list of all the birds I see. There are more than 250 birds on it. Most of the birds

live in Britain, but there are still a few birds to see here.

But the best thing about my hobby is that it doesn't cost much. I've got a camera - a

present from my grandfather and a few books about bird watching. I need these things.

The others are almost free.
