Indiana Letters About Literature Writing Contest

Letters About Literature is an Indiana reading and writing contest for students in grades 4-12. Students are asked
to read a book, poem, speech, or an essay and write to the author about how the work affected how they see
themselves or how they see the world. The annual contest’s winners are announced each spring. They will receive

Team America Rocketry Challenge

The American Rocketry Challenge is the world’s largest student rocket contest and a key piece of the aerospace
and defense industry’s strategy to build a stronger Amerícan workforce in science, technology, engineering and
mathematics (STEM). Sponsored by the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), the contest was created in the fall of
2002 as a one-time celebration of the Centennial of Flight, but by popular demand became an annual program.
Optimist International Oratorical （演说的） Contest

The Optimist Oratorical Contest gives youngsters the chance to speak to the world. Topic for the 2024-2025
school year is “How to Change the World with Optimism”. The annual contest is eligible （有资格的） to students
under the age of 19 who have not yet graduated from high school and who are educated in the United States, Canada
or the Caribbean.
C-SPAN StudentCam
Deadline: Jan.19,2025
StudentCam is C-SPAN’s annual national video documentary competition that encourages students to think
critically about issues that affect our communities and our nation. This year students in grades 6-12 are asked to create
a short (5-6 minute) video documentary on a topic related to the competition theme, “If you were a newly elected
member of Congress, which issue would be your first priority and why?” Registration begins annually in September.
