Hello, everyone! I am Li Hua, an enthusiastic reader.

It is a great shame that students nowadays have so little time for leisure reading as most of

them are burdened with huge academic pressure. This invariably leads to their narrow scope of

reading as well as highly restricted reading time.

As a veteran book lover, I will, no matter how busy I am, squeeze at least 15 minutes to read.

Through reading, I am transported back to different dynasties and countries, enjoying a totally

different lifestyle and meeting people I would never acquaint in real life. In a sense, reading

provides me a safe harbor where I can escape from worries in real life, rest my soul and

immediately get recharged.

Therefore, I would like to inspire every one of you to join me in pursuing the habit of lifelong

reading, which I believe will benefit you on all fronts.

Tomysurprise,Tinawasthenext.She rose from her chair and limped to stand in front of the

whole class with the help of her walker. Then she started to recite the poem emotionally, in a rich,

sonorous and almost melodious voice. The last stanza, however, seemed a little hard for her. She

stammered for a few seconds, only to utter some fractured sentences. To our surprise, she threw

her walker away and did ten push-ups, clenching her teeth. Considering her physical disability, I

never thought she would take it so seriously. I told Tina she didn't have to do this for I was just

kidding, but she ignored my words.

replied with her familiar, bright smile, “I just want to be a normal person like you.” Everyone

lapsed into the silence for a while. Because of her disability, some students avoided her

deliberately while some are overly concerned about her. It never occurred to us that we needed to

treat her equally like a normal girl. On that day, Tina not only got her nine points out of ten, but

also won respect and support from her classmates.
