although 引导的让步状语从句因为其引出较差的条件或状态而得名,表示条件退让
一步。让步状语从句表示：虽然，尽管，即使等概念，although（尽管）相当于
though（尽管）
1. Although / Though I gave him some advice, he didn’t take them.
我虽然给了他一些建议，但他没有采纳。
2. Although / Though he is in poor health, he works hard.
虽然他身体不好，但是他工作努力。
注意: 当有 though, although 时，后面的从句不能有 but，但是 though 和yet 可连用。
3. Although it's raining, they are still working in the field.
虽然在下雨，但他们仍在地里干活。
4. He is very old, but he still works very hard.
虽然他很老，但仍然努力地工作。
when 引导时间状语从句
when 可以表示较短的动作也可以表示较长的动作,主句和从句的动作可以同时发生也可以
先后发生；
1. I’ll go home when I have finished my job.
2. They were running quickly across the road when they heard the sound of a truck coming
if 引导条件状语从句（主句用将来时从句用现在时 主将从现）
1.What shall we do if it snows tomorrow?
2. We’ll go to the park if it doesn’t rain tomorrow.
