一、重要知识点复习
1. maybe
maybe 是副词，意为“或许；大概；可能”。
maybe 与may be 的区别：
(1）maybe 是副词，意思是“也许，可能”，在句中作状语，相当于 perhaps，常位
于句首。例如：
Maybe he’ll come this afternoon.
他可能今天下午来。
Maybe you are right. 也许你是对的。
(2)may be 是“情态动词＋be 动词”结构，意为“可能是；可能”，一般放在句中。
如：
The man may be a teacher. ①
＝Maybe the man is a teacher. 这个男的或许是个老师。
They may be in the classroom. ②
＝Maybe they are in the classroom. 他们也许在教室里。
2. such as
such as＝like，意为“例如；像……这样”，后面跟名词或者动名词。如：
I have a lot of hobbies, such as reading and drawing.
我有许多爱好，比如看书和画画。
【注意】such as 对前面的复数名词起部分列举作用，一般不全部列出。
The farm grows all kinds of crops, such as rice, wheat and cotton.
这个农场种植各种各样的庄稼，例如，稻谷、小麦和棉花。
3. exercise
（1）作不及物动词，意为“锻炼、运动”。例如：
－How often do you exercise? 你多久锻炼一次？
－I exercise every day. 我每天都锻炼。
（2）作不可数名词，意为“锻炼、运动”。例如：
Exercise makes me keep healthy. 运动使我保持健康。
（3）作可数名词，意为“练习；操”。例如：
We do morning exercises every day. 我们每天做早操。
We do English exercises to help us learn English well.
我们做英语练习以便学好英语。
4. health
(1)health 为不可数名词，意为“健康”，其形容词形式为 healthy ，意为“健康
的”。如：
Doing sports is good for our health.①
做运动对我们的健康有好处。
The old man looks very healthy.②
这位老人看起来非常健康。
(2)be in good health＝be healthy, 意为“身体健康”；
keep in good health＝keep healthy，意为“保持健康”。如：
You must eat more vegetables to keep healthy. ①
为了保持健康，你必须吃更多蔬菜。
The old man is in very good health.②
这位老人身体非常健康。
【注意】unhealthy 意为“不健康的，是 healthy 的反义词。healthily 是“健康
地”，是副词。
在名词词尾加 y构成形容词，类似的词还有：
rain—rainy 雨—下雨的 sun—sunny 太阳—晴朗的
luck—lucky 幸运—幸运的 wind—windy 风—刮风的
5. although
.although 的意思相当于 though，意为“尽管，虽然”，用来引导让步状语从句。它
所引导的从句不能与并列连词 but; and; so 等连用，但可以和 yet; still 等词连用。例
如：
There is air all around us, although we cannot see it.
虽然我们看不见空气，但空气却存在于我们的周围。
